i was surfing, and i happened to find Daughtry's official web page, so i looked at his previous web posts he has entered on his site. the newest one is about him getting new puppies (which are adorable )

But the few posts he had below that, it just hit me the hardest. it was around January when he entered this, and the post is about Heath Ledger's death.


Prayers for Heath Ledgers' family
Although I do not know Heath Ledger personally, my heart is broken for his family tonight as I hear the news of his death. Maybe it's because he was my age. It's always hard when someone dies but it's even harder when they go so early. So unexpected. So much life left to live. So many things left to do on this Earth....but the main thing that hit me so hard was thinking of his lil girl without her daddy.
My heart hurts for her and the rest of his family. My sincere prayers go out to them as they deal with this life altering time. They've suffered a great loss and could use some words of encouragement to offset all the media. Feel free to leave your thoughts and prayers here. Who knows they just might see it and it just might lift their spirit and help them through this tough time.

i have no idea why this affected me so much...probably because i realized not only how much we have to live life by, which is ultimately to the fullest, but also when you lose a life, its always the people around you that lose more

Daughtry is another class act. I can't imagine being a DC fan and not being a Daughtry fan.

Awwww, those were very sweet words. Thanks for sharing that. It's always nice to see people give of themselves any way they can. Ditto, Scott. I don't think it's humanly possible to be a fan of DC and not be a fan of Daughtry.

i agree....david is without a doubt my favorite idol but i definitely have to say that i love daughtry to pieces. i'm glad to see that he is another class act as well, very sweet words from him!

I agree that the two of them are alike in that they both have hearts of gold and care about others as much or more than themselves. That is what shows thru and why Daughtry has done as well as he has (Oh, and that voice) and why David Cook will do great also. Heart them both!

I like to think of Chris as my FIRST Idol love and will always be special because he was first! Those two guys are definitely gems!

I actually didn't care for Daughtry originally....I know, you all want to have my head examined!!!

But he has grown on me quite a bit! Thanks for the post; it helps me get to know him a little better!

I am so with you on this one!! I love Chris, he is awesome, and I told myself after he was eliminated that I wouldn't ever watch AI again. But, the Cookie came along, and I was a goner....

I'm sure he is a class act. However, I must contradict your second statement because I am not and have never been a Daughtry fan. I wish him well in everything he does, but that's it. To me comparing the two is like comparing apples and oranges.

Daughtry is definitely a class act. He's a wonderfully devoted family man, and he wholeheartedly accepted his wife's children from previously as his own. He was my favorite (with Taylor and Ace close behind; don't flog me!) going into the Top 12, and I was pretty sore when he was voted out. Even so, I knew he was destined for great things.

Aww I love Chris! He is so down to earth.

awww he's so sweet!!!! gives me even more reason to love chris, and i don't know about everyone here, but i've always been a fan of his! and i'm a fan of david's too! both talented and great guys:D
