Anyone know whether cookie has any plans to come over to the UK anytime soon?

My guess would be that he won't be coming until the fall, at the earliest. He's got the AI tour coming up and then the album release. Maybe he'll go through Europe to promote the album before the end of the year? I haven't heard any real news though, sorry!

I just saw him online being interviewed before the nba, by an israeli broadcaster, saying he thanks us (israeli fans) for all of our support, and hopfully sooner rather than later,he wants to come here to perform!! wub.gif
ha i really hope to see you too David wink.gif
i don't know about the UK,but just thought i'd share this.

i'm fairly certain that he will become big enough to make a world tour to anywhere that he pleases...i would bet that he'll be there soon...after the ai tour and his album is finished and such!

I'm living in hope he makes it to the UK but i wouldn't think it will be anytime soon, this year even. The US market is obviously gonna be the labels main focus to start with, and rightly so. Sure he'll be huge everywhere soon enough so we'll all get to see him wherever we're at smile.gif

Do you think they'll even try to break DC over here? No other Idol is big over here, even Kelly Clarkson.

I think he's the one that could break the UK if they try. I don't think the others have even been over here have they? But I think that David's genre, rock, is the most accessible to the British. He's also such a good interviewee that he would be great on our tv or radio.

I certainly hope they try. I don't live far from London. laugh.gif

My take:
He will go wherever Green Day, Puddle of Mudd, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, Nickelback, Bush, Linkin Park and 3 Doors Down go. That's the company he will keep. He will be on radio stations that play these bands' music, and will tour the places these bands tour. If you've seen these bands tour the UK and the rest of Europe, then you can expect DC. Daughtry will also-just not sure when his first European tour will be but I suspect he will have one coming up. It shows you how long it can take. I think David will be as big as the bands I've mentioned, but it will be two years before you see him in Europe. He will be on the AI US tour through September, then making the rounds in Hollywood and NYC on numerous TV shows promoting the new CD all fall, then all of next year on a North American tour for the CD. Candadians will have the pleasure of seeing him in '09 since Canada and the US are always together in the tour itinerary. The UK will likely be the first place DC goes abroad, partly because of the economics (the UK has one of the world's true powerhouse music industries) and because of the close ties between the US and UK.
So, that's my take.

Definitely. There is no way the UK will be left out of a tour. London is arguably the music capital of the world.
