Extremely short clip of David being spotted on a flight by 2 young fans.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C33nkvp1ORgHere's another one and he looks like he's actually doing a crossword puzzle!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WjXfrDisatg&NR=1On the same flight and he's sleeping! Awwww!

What really struck me is that in their description of the flight. It was only these two girls and David in First Class.
These girls must have some very rich parents is all I've got to say!
The only way I'd get into First Class is if I busted past a flight attendant! lol

Poor guy can't even sleep without being taped!
But those girls were pretty funny, and extremely lucky to be in the same plane as him!
Imagine how long they were watching him...
I don't know what I would do if David was RIGHT THERE!
I can only dream...

You would go down the long list of why you love him and why he's so great. Then you'd give him some advice from the heart. Come on. You know you've played this scenario out in your head.

That is not a cool thing at all. They're young, and that's the only way to accept, still, hope they don't do that again to anyone. Obviously two spoiled children.
That's sweet of him doing crossword puzzles. lol

Actually, I was thinking how composed they were for being so young. The only thing they did wrong was to post these on YouTube. I just can't get with this whole letting everyone in the world see everything you do. Plus it still seems like an invasion of his privacy to show him especially sleeping without his permission.

maybe the handlers had to fly coach to cut expenses.
but that depends on where he was flying to...i'm sure he can afford to fly first class when traveling personally now (indy to lax sounds like a personal flight).

Well, the first two were pretty funny, the wave and him doing the crossword puzzle, but I definitely don't think they should have filmed him SLEEPING. That's a huge invasion of privacy. I wouldn't want to be filmed by two strangers while I was sleeping, let alone have it pop up on YouTube.

Awww, I can only imagine what that would have been like when I was their age and if I saw one of the NKOTB boys. Probably would not have been as composed.
It was nice of him to be so gracious and say hello to the camera.

I didn't watch the other two. It just felt kind of wrong. I wouldn't want anyone taping me while I'm sleeping on a plane. I definitely would be one hot mess.

This is why little kids shouldn't be in First Class without their parents there. It could have been worse though, they could have bothered him the entire flight. At least they were semi-quiet and kept their distance (except when the one girl threw the penguin into the seat next to him).

i think it's funny... they are young and starstruck... i bet cook found it sweet as long as they weren't bothering him the whole time. if these few 30 sec clips are all they got from the entire flight, i think they held up pretty well. haha... i can't even imagine what i would do.
there's a good chance he might not have actually been sleeping. he could have just been relaxing with his eyes closed. who knows... i know i can't sleep on planes but that's just me.

I work for an airline company (Air France if youre curious) & it is very common for 'famous' people to travel in first class while their 'entourage' flies in a lower class.
Ive seen it plenty of times.

I guarantee if I was their age, I would have been losing my freakin' mind and David would probably have tried to jump out of the plane mid-flight.
The were way more composed than I would have been at that age. Heck, they were most composed than I would be at my current age.
...and any other thoughts I have about being on a flight with David Cook are not family friendly enough for this thread...

OK, these vids make me feel badly for David. At least he was gracious and said "hello" (of course he did; he's David Cook!). But I feel like the other two were really voyeuristic, imo - esp the one of him sleeping. Goodness, just want him to have a moment's peace.

this reminds me of when i was flying to chicago and i sat in the aisle right next to ben savage. the flight attendant was freaking out the whole time. she kept checking on him even though he was sleeping. it was funny to watch her. we didn't talk to him until the end of the flight - being that he was sleeping or listening to his ipod. he gave us an autograph!

the flight was from INDY to LAX? that means he got to visit with his family in indiana right? or was that a wrong assumption.

Uh, see, though, that's exactly why I don't like this kind of thing. Maybe David doesn't WANT everyone on earth noticing the size of his waistline. Especially when he's trying to relax on a flight and is kind of hunched over. But the choice got taken away from him by little girls. Let's imagine that he had said something to them like, "Hey, kids, I just want to chill before I have to hit it hard back in L.A. so could you NOT video me?" I can't even really imagine how bad he would have been trashed for not being friendly or for being mean to little girls or whatever when they are the ones who acted like cute little mini-paparazzi. I like to think that if they'd had grown-up supervision, these vids might not have been posted forever on YouTube.
On the other hand, David really does like kids, and so I am probably in need of "lightening up" bad.

Someone else in the cabin should have reprimanded the girls...regardless of who he is. Even if he doesn't mind, it's not proper for them to grow up thinking it's OK to harrass strangers while they're sleeping.

The stuffed Penguin is when I started feeling really sorry for him. When they would put the penguin next to him, giggle, and then sneak over to get it back and giggle. I don't really think he was sleeping. If that was me, I would also fake sleep just so they won't bother me.

I have mixed feelings...I can remember being little and giddy...but back when I was that age we didn't have cool electronics like vido cameras and cell phones...I mean I am not that old but we didn't have all this electronical stuff and I can understand being yonger and immature and excited...
but where are the manners and parentals?? The first clip was ok...yeah he saw you...he said hello...go giggle in your seats quitely...the second and third clips were just rude!

As an "Air Canada Brat" I can tell you that being in first class without parents is quite normal - we'd fly on passes, and the flight attendents and pilot/co-pilots would take "care" of us, until we got to the destination and were picked up by whomever was there to meet us.
When there is no room in business, and there are seats in first class, they put you there. In fact, on all flights I've flown on passes, I've always been in first class. Which is awesome when you've been running around Italy and are out of money and haven't eaten for 2 days!
Anyways, that could be the situation the girls are in.

Oh my, so I just stumbled upon this thread since it was on the "lasted posted in" column on the homepage. The first video was kinda cute with David being really nice and waving to the camera etc, but for the other two, I agree with everyone else that they aren't very appropriate.
The thing that really got me about this is that I have a fanfic on this site about the main character, Lili, meeting David on a plane in first class from NYC to LAX...strange coincidence!

No, I hear ya. While it was cute to see him sleeping and doing a crossword puzzle, I can only try to imagine being in his position. He doesn't even get privacy while he sleeps. If I had a video like that I wouldn't post it on youtube. I actually do have a video of me and my friends hanging out with Taylor Hicks and his band, and he took us on his tour bus to show us around and everything. I decided not to put it up there.
I guess being famous has its advantages and disadvantages. He is probably just starting to learn both.

As much as I like to to keep tap on everything David is up to, but to tape and put this video for the whole world to see is just so wrong. He is a human being after all and what little time he has to his own, should be left to him. Obviously these kids have yet to realize that with adoration one must learn to respect too.

Well as much as I agree that posting the other two on Youtube wasn't necessary, I have to say that I am as giggly as a school girl now at 38 years old seeing him, not even in person. I don't know what kind of reaction I would have if I actually got to meet him in person.
I do feel bad for him, because he has gotton SOOOO famous SOOOOO fast, but I am sure he is still good hearted about it, even though it is difficult.
I can't judge them, since I have been typing some pretty embarrassing stuff on this website myself under other threads,,,,

I think it's cute and harmless. They're kids. I hardly acted like an adult when I was their age (and apparently unsupervised), and I'd hate to think of what I would have done if I had actually been on a plane with a celebrity. They were well-behaved, considering. And, this is nothing, considering the crap that TMZ (which is run by adults) can and will pull in the future and post on national venues for everyone in the universe to view.

Almost every time I fly first class I get next to someone who wants to talk the entire flight. That's just wrong on a 4 hr flight from Cincinnati to LA. I love getting the window seat...perfect for sleeping. On the isle, you take the chance of getting hit by the beverage cart. Unfortunately, David is going to run into this type of behavior more and more.
During the Idol tour, they should be on buses and away from peering fans. Of course these tour buses are going
to be a rolling comedy club with David, Michael and whoever else they can get in there. Should be a nice break for them. Safe travels to the Idols and all those traveling to see them.

I am torn about this...
on one hand.. i am channeling fangirl "its freaking David Cook in the same airplane and i just wanna scream! and take tons of pics and vids"
and on the other i am channeling my more adult side " its DC and he is just trying to get some sleep because his life is a circus right now and as much as i would love to talk to him, he needs all the space and time he can get even if it is for an hour or two on a plane."
