So, I thought it might be interesting to see what we all have as our ringtones on our cell --- mine changes on a semi-frequent basis, but at the moment, it's David & ZZ top's version of Sharp Dressed Man. I totally ROCK OUT whenever my phone rings. And then people get mad at me for not answering because I am too busy dancing and singing along.

Cook's "Time of My Life" though i rarely hear it because my phone is always in silent mode. lol

I usually have my phone on vibrate for class, but when I don't, it's David's "Day Tripper". The longest ringtone I've had on my cellphone, and it's now no longer available through Cingular, so I feel extra special having it.

Innocent - got the same problem about not answering before it gets forwarded to voicemail.

My default ring is "Music Of The Night"...although I confess it's Michael Crawford's version because it was all I could get on Verizon.

you guys all got DC ringtones.. i got one too, always be my baby ..but it's not the one i use, i still got that your guardian angel by Red jumpsuit apparatus ringing in my phone.. though most of the time my phone's in vibrate mode..

i don't have a DC ringtone either, mine is josh groban's "believe" that my husband made for me....but i never hear it because it's always in vibrate mode....i used to have taylor hicks' "do i make you proud", but i swapped it out for "believe" during the christmas season and never put it back....

Phone Zoo is a great site where you can upload any song you want as long as its not an itunes downloaded (mp4) and then pick whatever 30 seconds you want as your ringtone. I did that with Sharp Dressed Man and Baba O Reilly. And best of all, its free! (You do have to register, but you dont have to pay anything)

i have verizon so i downloaded the time of my life ringtone and ringback tone. but yea... my phone is always on vibrate and no one ever calls me anyway.


i must say the best ringtone i ever had... (which i don't have anymore because it was on my old phone)... was the guitar intro to yellow ledbetter. i almost redownloaded it when i got my new phone but i thought maybe i should try and change things up since it was my ringtone for like 2 years. before that one it was the futurama theme song.

now i change my ringtone all the time because i get bored. lol! it's funny cause i'm hardly ever even on the phone!

Thanks! I love my phone! When I first got a phone that was capable of playing videos, I was determined to figure out how I could do it, and when I replaced it with a phone that could actually play video clips as ringtones, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven.

I prefer to use non-music sounds as text alerts, and I had wanted to use an MP3 of David laughing originally, but when I tested it, it didn't quite sound right. Then the idea of using the "I'm not wearing any pants" line just came to me.

If you have the Sony Ericson slider phone, it's easy to set a video clip as a ringtone. Just find the clip you want to use, then select "More," which pulls up another menu, then select "Use As," and you can set it as either your general ringtone, or as one for that special someone.

OK, I changed my default tone today to TOML.

I have a few special callers with their own ringtones, but the only tone I can remember at the moment is "Rainy Monday" by STG.

Wisty, try phonezoo.com. That's what I used to make "Sharp Dressed Man" - its really easy - you do have to register but it's free - just upload the song, and you can pick whatever 30 seconds (max) of the song you want as your ringtone. And they'll send it straight to your phone.
