I bet his recent work with Raine Maida inspired his song choice here. He seems to really enjoy picking songs that reflect where he is in his life. That and maybe he's saying that he's just an ordinary guy and it's weird to be so loved by so many.

My Hero on Leno is now rivaling TWIK as my favorite DC performance, and for completely different reasons. Does anyone else think that this version of My Hero has a Springsteen vibe to it? It's very DC, totally his own, but it has the "Bruce" feel.

I realize this is asking a lot, but is there any way someone could make downloadable versions of the interview video as well and the "embarrassing moment" fan video? I can't for the life of me get these streaming videos to play longer than about 20 seconds before it stops working. After that I get an error and IE crashes.

Yes, I watched this performance last night (acutually, early in the AM when it showed up on the site), and was just blown away. I was only wishing this had been the one that aired, or that it had aired as well - I desperately wanted the ability to record it on DVD and watch it on my TV at will. I just loved this performance.. what more can I say? I mean, it's David after all - but he sounded awesome, and he seemed so comfortable and rested.
All I would ask for is more crowd participation! Come on people!

I watched it too on Jay's site. Amazing, but I love TOML because it reminds me of his victory!!!

Yeah, we had a little bit of discussion of this on another thread, what song would you like to hear David sing, I think, that sometimes we feel that Boss vibe....the discussion came up when I commented that I'd love to hear DC sing "I'm On Fire".

That would be my second choice. Brilliant Disguise and Tunnel of Love are tied for first.

Coming out of lurkdom just to say I was hoping the latter half of the season to hear "Brilliant Disguise" outta da Cookie, but, alas, it never happened.

He'd do a mean Springsteen cover.

It's a killer song and yes I think he would sound amazing doing it.

I loved this performance! He first did this at the Homecoming parade in his hometown, but it was acoustic and more mellow. I liked that version, but thoroughly enjoyed him rocking it out a bit more on Jay Leno.

It sounded pretty straight-up from the original...I've had the guitar riff stuck in my head all weekend.

I love it when he rocks the stage! Awesome performance!
