I'm sure I'm not alone (at least I hope I'm not), but I'm so obsessed with DC that I hear songs on the radio and I think HE should be singing them or I think "David could sing that song so much better." Tee Hee.
Today I heard "Paralyzer" by Finger 11 and even though it has somewhat of a pop vibe, it has a really great rock chorus that would be perfect for David's voice. I've always loved music, but lately no one can measure up to the standards Cook has set. Anyone else feel the same way?

You're not alone I do the same thing:P Yeah, Paralyser is a really great song for him!! I think Never too late by Three days Grace will be great for him too! The chorus is in his tone of voice!(sorry for my english:S)

To be completely honest i used to be a HUGE finger11 fan. their older stuff is amazing.
their last two cds (especially their latest) have been complete let downs.
I dont know why.
I'm sure he could pull of paralyzer but i'd much rather him do some older songs by them!
I also would love to hear him sing some more OLP songs
"Supermans Dead", "Starseed", "The birdman", "Thief", "Clumsy", "Somewhere out there", "Story about a girl", "The world on a string"....
Those songs would be AMAZING for him!
I also wouldn't mind hearing him sing "HELLO, I LOVE YOU" by the doors. i dont know why but i think he could totally change that song to fit his style. he would pull it off amazingly.
I think he would also be great singing some Goo Goo Dolls
"Name", "Iris", "There you are", "Big Machine", "What a scene"
those songs would be amazing.
Cath. - I agree. he could pull of some 3DG.... haha he does seem to like the canadian bands woo!
I also would like him to sing "THAT SONG" by big wreck... AMAZING
I could go on with my list seriously lol. theres so many songs that he could cover and be absoluetly amazing at.

I do that all the time...but it's expected from a fan. The most rewarding phenomenon is when a coworker (who likes him, but is not "invested") looks at me while listening to a song and wonders how it would sound if David was singing it.

I listened to You're a God by Vertical Horizon last night and I hope DC will be able to do his own rendition of the song.

Since I began my obsession with David Cook I have found that almost every single song I listen to now I can see David singing it or imagine what it would sound like if he sang it. Plus, if I hear a song he did sing while Idol, I can automatically hear the way he sang it, lol

I know he stated in an interview that this is either one of his favorite songs or one of the songs he used to teach himself on guitar. I'm sure he would love to do any of these songs. I can hardly wait for his CD!! He leaves us no choice but to imagine him singing other songs, but of course, we mostly want to hear him sing DAVID COOK songs!!!

Haha yes.
I got a myspace friend request from this John Nathaniel and I've used to at least play the songs if I get some random requests from bands (you never know what they do have too offer unless you check). It was so freaky because for first seconds of "Realize" cover it could have been David singing, their voices sounded too much similar. Unless I heard things...

The OSC article from a while back was dead-on. You want David Cook to sing all of your favorite songs because you know he could do them better!
I so want to send him CDs of all the songs I want him to sing. Or failing that, sit down and talk with him about '90s music for two hours. I was in heaven watching that old Fox video of him discussing the differences between Nirvana and Pearl Jam. I really miss the music scene ten years ago, and never did I think someone would win American Idol who would know the differences between '90s grunge music.
