--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It looks like some bracelets may have gone missing in the mail. If you ordered before June 26th, keep checking your mail this week, and if you don't get yours by Friday, please email me at cwood@nyc.rr.com.

Unfortunately, I will have to start to charge more for the shipping price from here on and start sending the bracelets by insured mail. The bracelets will now be $9.00 and all new orders should include this amount. I sent an email to everyone who ordered after June 26th and anyone whose bracelets were lost, requesting they send an extra $2.50 per order (which covers the insurance fees and higher Paypal fees). The other option is to cancel your transaction altogether, and I will refund your $6.50. This way, if any bracelets are lost in the mail it's on the post office to pay to replace them.

International orders are uninsurable and I will not be able to replace them if they are lost. Please understand that you are taking this risk when you order. Since there is no insurance charge, the cost is the same as the U.S. cost and should cover postage anywhere in the world. If you still want insurance and a tracking number for your order, you will have to pay an extra Federal Express charge. Shipping by FedEx will cost more than the bracelet! Please email me with your location for information if this option interests you.

I was hoping to keep the postage costs low, but I can't afford to pay for lost bracelets myself. They are too expensive! It would be different if I were having them made for $2 apiece, but I send the full contribution amount that goes to Adam as well as the cost of the bracelet with each individual bracelet order and with the postage, it's almost $6.00.

I'm sorry to have to raise the price to include insurance, but I hope everyone understands the situation, and agrees to continue with their orders, with or without the insurance.

I know this sounds like a big pain in the butt, and believe me, it is for me too! But when you finally have your Adam Cook Grey Matters bracelet, you'll be happy! I hope so.

I love how since joining this forum, I've gone from 3 wristbands that I've been wearing daily for the past 2 years (breast cancer awareness, livestrong (but it ripped) and the ONE wristband) to three (just got the David Cook Fans Unite Against Cancer one yesterday) and now it's going to be 5 because I ordered the David Cook Rocks one and I'm about to order this one.
Sheesh haha...my arms are gonna be covered! laugh.gif

But in all seriousness, I love supporting cancer research. It hits home for me, so I'm all for it.
cooksgirl
Thanks for posting this. I can't get linked because am at work and my work computer is denying access to the site. Just bumping it up so that I can find it later and buy one. Thanks again.

In regards to were to put in PayPal form "Adam Cook Bracelet), if no one from the board response, I have reached out to Cathy Wood via email to see where we note this. There is a field for the email address and the dollar amount. If I find out tomorrow - I will post it.

If someone has already done this on the board- please let us know.

Not sure how to explain this but when you log into paypal and they go into send money-type in the recipients addy, amount to send and then I check other goods or something like that then it says to send money and I click that bottom box which takes me to the 2nd. page and on there it brings up the info, has your shipping address on it, under the shipping address there is something that says Message to Recipient and a rectangular box that says subject above it and in that box is where I would type "Adam Cook Bracelet", then you could always post a message in the big box that says message as well. I hope this helps. Sorry for all the run on sentances. This is what I did when I ordered mine and also when I buy things with paypal I just type it in the subject box.

There are only two wristbands available for sale that are the same ones David is wearing, and I'm really happy to be able to offer the Adam Cook Grey Matters wristbands to the fans. The $6.50 does cover postage in the U.S., for those of you who asked. I've only received one order of bracelets from the radio station, and I've only been able to send out 30 so far. I hope I'm going to receive the next order today or tomorrow and have the next 40 out before Thursday. But I'm at the mercy of the radio station and their timing, since they are the ones who actually order the wristbands. So I thank you in advance for your patience, and thank you all for your support for Adam Cook. I'm so happy to hear David say Adam is doing well.

There are only two "official" ones? About halfway through Idol I purchased a purple and grey one that was suppose to help support the cause to get Adam out to an airing of AI - I still haven't recieved the bracelet and now I'm getting a little sketched out....

Thanks for saying there's only two official ones!!

I'm from Costa Rica so I have to be very careful wuth the things I order!

I ordered a bracelet on June 4 (Paypal, $12).
I wonder if this is the same one? I guess I should have kept better records!

I never wore more than one bracelet before, but I really like the look of the 3-4 bracelets David wears.
So I've started to wear my two together now (ONE and Save Darfur) and I'm eager to add my third as soon as it arrives! (Then I'll think about a fourth.)
*Nicole*
I ordered one about 2 weeks ago. Does anybody know how long it takes to get them in the mail? I hope it comes before I go to the tour!

I would never say there's any such thing as "official" bracelets. I can only say that the only two bracelets available for sale that David is also wearing are the purple and grey David Cook Rocks bracelet, and the Adam Cook Grey Matters bracelet.

The purple one was darker in the first batch, which is why yours might not look so much like his. But it's the same company making them. I'm friends with the woman who is selling them.

On Tuesday, I emailed Julie from b1027fm to ask about the Adam Cook bracelets, but I haven't heard back. She also hasn't cashed my checks yet for $650 that I've sent. So I am a little concerned. But please be patient if you ordered one. I wanted everyone to get theirs before the tour dates, but I am not sure that's possible now. It really is out of my control. I will give it one more business day and make a call on Tuesday if I don't receive anything before then. I'm sure we will get them -- it's just a question of when! I'm sorry it's not going quicker. I'm thinking maybe they ran out of bracelets and are waiting on a shipment of their own. That's what happened the first time. They are very popular in Terre Haute, where Adam lives. Over $40,000 has been raised there for Adam by the sales of these bracelets and Grey Matters T-shirts.

Thanks for being understanding! If there are any questions, please email me at cwood@nyc.rr.com. I may miss PMs here for awhile.

If I ordered a bracelet sometime this week... would it arrive before July 27th when I go to the AI Tour? I know there's no guarantees but would it be a good possibility?

Thanks for the update, Cathy. I hope mine comes before my tour stop in Chicago (July 19th). I'm leaving home on the 17th, so I'm crossing my fingers!

What I read is that it could take 3-4 weeks... it depends on the number of orders she gets, and how soon the radio station gets the bracelets to her.

Does anyone know if their is a mailing address? I would love to buy one, but I currently don't have a credit card. Thanks for your help!
cookrocks54
I just wanted to give everyone an update. I did receive 100 bracelets in the mail on Wednesday and they were sent out Thursday. The bracelets I sent covered orders that I received between June 10th and June 26th. I'm going to place a new order tomorrow, and hope that it won't take as long the next time. The next order will cover everything ordered through tomorrow plus I will order another $50 worth of bracelets in advance. That's really about all I can afford of my own money to put into advance orders right now.

The radio station probably ran out of their supply and had to wait for a new batch which is why there was such a long delay. It happened the first time. The AC bracelets are big sellers in Terre Haute! They've sold $40,000 worth and we've only bought about $1000 worth so far, so I hope we can sell closer to $3,000-$4,000 worth before the tour is over.

If you don't have a credit card and would like a bracelet, please PM me and we can arrange for a money order to be sent instead.

If you are outside the U.S. and Canada, please add an extra $2.00 for each bracelet for postage in your Paypal order. I'll put this information on the website. It may not cost exactly that much more for your particular country, but it does cost about that much to send a bracelet to the Far East or New Zealand, for example. So it's just easier for everyone to add $2.00.

If you are in Canada, please add $1.00 per bracelet. I got a lot of Canadian orders where nobody attempted to contact me regarding the extra postage, and I paid for it myself, but I'd prefer not to do it anymore!

Most importantly: When using Paypal, please try to make sure you enter your shipping address. I know it's a bit confusing, but as you go through the process, Paypal will ask you for the information. If you didn't enter your mailing address or if you didn't see it come up automatically before you finish your transaction, then it's probably not been entered. I have received a lot of orders with no shipping addresses. I then have to email each person for their addresses, and it could cause a delay in getting your order to you. It already takes a long time for delivery. So please try to be careful. Thank you!

Thanks again to everyone for your generosity and support for Adam Cook. The orders have picked up considerably in the past few weeks, which is very heartwarming for me! I hope to see a lot of Grey Matters bracelets when I go to the shows in Newark, AC and Long Island.
