Can anyone record this?

Was he on already? I forgot to preregister at xmradio.com and just got logged in to the radio station.

I almost forgot, myself. I'm listening online now and haven't heard him yet. The program guide lists him as calling in sometime between 1 and 2. Hopefully I didn't miss it. Had to run outside and get my radio ID so I could register to listen online. Got it going about 1:20 pm.

I started listening around 1:10 and it was still just music.

I sure hope he didn't come on and be done by 10mins after!

I just emailed then to check to see if I missed it. Off to check my email and I'll report back!

I just tried registering and there system must be on overload. I got dropped.

ug! No XM radio here for me.... i have it in the car, but i don't have that car with me today. AND i can't record from this computer. i'm out of luck Hopefully someone will get the broadcast!!!

I am desperately searching for any kind of audio recording software and cant find anything that will let me try for free and record for longer than 1 minute!! ARRGH!!

Maybe the schedule got changed at the last minute. I just looked at the flight 26 program page and it's no longer mentioned. Hopefully they'd answer my email - they did before. I have new-found respect for radio people - they've all been very nice to us!

The program listing page for the week shows hes supposed to be there today. But it also shows on June 19 Thursday. 4:00 PM - 5:00 PMAmerican Idol Winner DAVID COOK with PJ. But maybe that was supposed to be the encore show...

It must have been really short...I sat there for the entire hour...I never heard it.

I just registered so I will try to catch the rebroadcast tomorrow at 4P.

David must be exausted talking.

Update - I tried validating my new account and I was getting an error - I called the XM Customer Service and they are having technical difficulties and they are aware of the problem.

I just threw out there to the rep - that they are probably on overload with folks signing up to hear our David - just guessing.

Okay, I swear they just said DC would be calling at 1pm east coast time on Thurs??

**She just corrected herself...he's calling 1pm west coast time...4pm east coast time.**

Ah well. Atleast my trial subscription will still be in effect on Thursday. I'll have to try and tune in half an hour early.

They never replied to my email. Maybe because mine sounded somewhat panic stricken about missing David lol

We all missed it. I had my recording software ready and waiting. I just showed up 10mins too late.

I can't believe that we all missed it. So either (a) they never played it or we have all completely lost it.....ours brains have been overly cookified!

I just heard it too - while driving in my car. I can't believe I got so excited to hear his voice doing the intro - just a little sound bite and I'm toast - Man, I really am cookified! Also heard PJ say on air that he'll be on 1 pm West Coast time (4 pm east) on thursday. So... if you still want to try out that recording software... I'll be at cub scout camp - arrgh!

Here's a transcript of David's interview on Flight 26 today:
PJ: XM's Flight 26 and PJ - honored to be hanging out with my American Idol, America's American Idol, David Cook. How are you?

DC: <laughs> I'm good. How are you?

PJ: Oh, you know what, my whole apartment complex went totally nuts when you won. I'm not kidding - this cheer was like "Yeah!"

DC: Alright!

PJ: My little boy said that if you didn't win, he would never watching American Idol again. It's true.

DC: Oh, man. Well, I'm glad he's still gonna watch it then, I guess.

PJ: Well, how's it been for you after Idol? Has it been totally insane?

DC: Uh, it's been a little, a little quick paced, but I've gotten to do some really cool things. Ya know, I got to perform on Leno and uh, I got to sing the National Anthem at the Lakers Celtics game which was huge. um..

PJ: Oh, massive congratulations. And I saw you on Larry King Live with the rest of the Idols.

DC: Yeah, that was a trip. <laughs> He gave me his suspenders and I was like "What?"

PJ: I saw that.

DC: Yeah, I mean, you know. That's just - It's one of the crazy things they let us do. I welcome it all. It's been a blast.

PJ: XM's Flight 26 and PJ hanging out with David Cook, your American Idol. What's going on?

DC: Oh, you know, just living life.

PJ: I've gotta ask, do you still have the Milk mustache?

DC: I don't. No, no. No milk mustache.

PJ: You won that - that Kansas City Got Milk? Competition, so I'm wondering if you still wore that milk mustache.

DC: Oh, no, no. No I, uh, I've moved on to other things apparently.

PJ: Yeah, big things. But one thing I've been curious about - uh, Axium, your band, Axium. Are you going to be doing stuff with the band in the future?

DC: Um, you know, I've not completely omitted that from happening. I love those guys to death. You know, it just kind of depends. We've kinda really just started the infancy of, of putting all this together. I still talk to them and certainly kind of left the door open, but uh, life has a funny way of leading us all in different directions. You never know.

PJ: So how's the insanity been? What's it like - everywhere you go people scream and cry and ask you to sign god knows what? What's that been like for you?

DC: <laughs> I'll tell you what - I feel like I've really lucked out. You know, I've got - I mean, obviously I lucked out in that I won the show. To be able to meet the people that I've met, both on a professional level and on a personal level - fans and stuff. Everybody's just been really respectful and really complimentary. And, uh, obviously that support has seemed to parlayed so far, at least into the single, which uh, I couldn't have asked for a better scenario. It's been great. Really really great.

PJ: And you've got the Idols Live tour getting ready to hit the road. Are you excited about that?

DC: Uh, yeah. I think You know for me, it will be exciting to get that live show format a little bit. I think with being on Idol, it's weird because you have to play the song, then immediately have , as soon as you get that energy from playing the first song, you have to stop. To be able to actually get into that concert vibe again and get one on one with these people that invested their time and phone bills into each week. I think it's a welcome change.

PJ: Well, we've gotta go now, but I'll tell you what - your single is getting more requests right now on XM's Flight 26 than any other and we're going to play it right now. Instead of me introducing it, how about if you introduce your own song?

DC: Alright, I'll give it a go. Hey guys, this is David Cook and I want to say thank you so so much for uh, listening to this next song, my single, Time of My Life.

PJ: Aw, you rock. Congratulations and you've got to come by the XM studio sometime and play for us.

DC: I would absolutely love to.

PJ: We love you!

DC: I love you guys too. Thank you!
