I can say I have laugh.gif Let's see ( I will keep it kinda short since I've been meeting bands and celebs for 10 years) I've met Ashlee Simpson, Nick Lachey, Avril Lavigne, Jessica Simpson, Kelly Clarkson, Michelle Branch, Miley Cyrus, Goo Goo Dolls, Third Eye Blind, Barenaked Ladies, Wanda Sykes, Abigail Breslin, Veronicas, Natasha Bedingfield.I Could go on but it's kinda a big list :lol I can tell you this much since I've been meeting celebs for 10 years I've only come across a few jerks. Dave Coulier ( Joey from Full House) Real jerk.I was talking to him and asked him something and he said No in a really rude voice. Davey Havok from AFI. Real Jerk.I mean super super jerk. I had been wanting to meet him for quite sometime and I was super psyched when I heard he was coming to my town. I along with other fans were waiting and he completly ignored us! He made this one little girl cry ( he could of cared less) He kept on walking! Like I said real jerk. Mandy Moore another jerk. I had Meet and Greet Passes and for some dumb reason they didn't have me on the list ( even though I had a e-mail saying I won) Anyways to make a long story short I saw Mandy and told her about my Meet and Greet Fiasco and she shrugged her shoulders said something ( couldn't hear her) and walked away.Rude!

I think there has been a backlash amongst the old skoolers where I am and they get sl*ged off regularly!! But I remember them all goofing around with the handful (literally) of people there after the gig. And stayed to chat for ages. I also loved the fact that Ian came up to me to thank me for dancing... its so none rockstar!!! lol

I forgot:
Patrick Wolf, I chatted with him after a gig in newcastle too!

Oh I just noticed you're from the UK so it's different over there since they're from there...not too many people know of them here in the states, at least not from what I've seen. Every time I've seen them here, they've stayed forever after the shows to talk to the people outside and just hang out with everyone. Seriously just really nice guys. And I absolutely ADORE the English accents...so hot :-X...that goes for BFMV too haha (the accents)

Haven't been as lucky with brushes with greatness, but in '89 working at a convenience store with gas, one of the Chicago Bulls came in the store: Scottie Pippen. He bought a sandwich and a drink, and tried to bust a $100 bill. Also, at the 4th concert I went to last year, I got Taylor Hicks' autograph on my shirt.

Oh, I forgot about meeting President Jimmy Carter's brother, Billy Carter, before my HS football game in Red Bay, AL.
DavidCookiemonster
I am glad you had a good experience with Mandy.I had a bad one:( But I have heard so many things. I've heard from other people she is really snobby and then I had heard she is super nice.I guess I caught her at a bad time. How is Regis Kim? I also met Simple Plan as well.I used to be super into them but now they more or less irritate me lol

Yeah! There were a lot of people pissed off that they were headlining Download Fest last weekend. There seems to be a bit of a backlash going on atm.
And I think you have a little thing for the Welsh accent biggrin.gif

I guess I do! I assume Bullet's accents are Welsh as well haha

I want Lostprophets to come back here already...they get love in the states (here in NYC anyway)...they should come back soon. I miss their shows...they put on an awesome live show.

Bullet For My Valentine are going to be here in the summer and I really want to go but I don't know if I have anyone to go with...everyone's always either busy or broke. It sucks cause they're one of my favorite bands and I got cheated out of their sets at Taste of Chaos cause I was helping my friend work the show and the first night they performed a full set, I wasn't able to see it cause we were too busy freaking running around trying to get kids into a meet and greet with Avenged Sevenfold that didn't even happen cause the band ended up being late, and the next 2 nights, Bullet's set was cut short because Jay's daughter got sick and was in the hospital so he flew back to England and their roadie filled in on bass so they only played like a 5 song set for the next 2 nights and then flew home to England without finishing the tour so they could be there for Jay. I mean I understand the circumstance and I am proud of Jay for putting family first, but it still sucked cause I've wanted to see them live for YEARS haha. But the most important thing was that his daughter is alright!

Humm I've never met any musicians. My "celeb" encounters are varied between sports people, politicians, and actors.

I've seen lots of people in person - I wouldn't classify them as meets though - most were through presentations, talks, events, concerts, etc.

I've met a bunch of famous ice skaters over the years, other than Scott Hamilton I can't recall the rest off of the top of my head.

- Charles Schultz - he drew a picture of Snoopy for me smile.gif

- Senator Diane Feinstein.

I shook Bill Clinton's hand but I wouldn't classify that as "meeting him." Same goes with Billy Joel.

Let's see geek meets -

Warwick Davis (Wicket the Ewok,) Jeremy Bullock (Boba Fett), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), David Prowse (Darth Vader,) from STAR WARS.

Jeph Loeb & Ed McGuiness - big time Comic book guys - Jeph is a big time comic book writer and works on HEREOS & formerly SMALLVILLE. Ed is a big time artist.

Best of all I was invited to attend the premiere of TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES this past winter and got to meet the cast (Lena Headey, Thomas Dekker, Summer Glau, Brian Austin Green, and Owain Yeoman) and got to chat w/ the show's producers Josh Friedman and James Middleton. You all can think of me as the biggest moron on the planet - goes to show my age here - I stood about 3 feet away from Megan Fox and I had no idea who she was and wasn't the slightest bit interested in talking to her tongue.gif You can read my account of attending the party on my website HERE!

I love Brian Austin Green and Thomas Dekker...as well as that show in general. Lucky duck.

I wanted to scream I had a new audio recorder and accidentally paused it when I got to talk to BAG - he was HYSTERICAL! He was the first person I got to talk to and was swearing up and down with me - in a good funny way, not AT me. I didn't get it recorded though - grrr!

I'm hoping at Comic Con that I'll be able to get a bunch of interviews w/ everyone on the cast again smile.gif I've got a link to my TSCC website on the front page of my site that I posted above. I can't wait to talk to BAG again - he's a closeted STAR WARS fan, I'm going to get him to confess his geekiness to the world tongue.gif

all i can think of now smile.gif

I've met

-All of Fall Out Boy except Andy, he wasn't in the band at the time, this was REAL early on, before TTTYG
-All of the Plain White Ts (super nice guys, my sister's drum teacher taught the drummer so I may meet them again)
-All of Paramore (Hayley was kind of rude but Zac was seriously the funniest dude ever)
-Bumped into Gabe Saporta of Cobra at HCT last year, didn't recognize him LOL. Maybe it was the lack of purple hoodie.
-Met Pete Wentz again and pretty much wanted to slap him across the head.

There's more but I can't recall.

I meet/interview a lot of celebrities because of my job as a reporter, but most are political people like Janet Reno and Jesse Jackson, governors, congresspeople, some authors like Salman Rushdie or TV news people like Charles Gibson. One time I went backstage for a Huey Lewis concert. Outside of work, I've met most of the cast of "General Hospital." Probably the funniest and nicest guy I've ever met is Corbin Bernsen.

Country singer Phil Vassar was my college roommate's boyfriend (plus we're from the same home town, although we went to different high schools, so I didn't know him until college.) I've seen him in just a towel, and yes, he sang all the time -- doing dishes? He'd be singing. Driving? He'd be singing. Just walking around? He'd be singing.

And I used to run into Jerry Falwell all the time at Applebee's.
Stacey81
The Smashing Pumpkins (50+ times)
Foo Fighters (3 times)
Tegan and Sara
Common
Cheap Trick
Art Alexakis (Everclear)
Eddie Izzard
Tom Jones (LOL)
Colin Powell
John Edwards
Horatio Sanz (SNL)
Dax (MTV Punk'd)
Jeremy Piven
Jeff Tweedy (Wilco)
David Fricke (Rolling Stone writer)
Garbage (I actually got to sing a song with the band!)
I've also met a boatload of indie rock bands that no one has ever heard of (The Get Up Kids, Anniversary, Bettie Serveert, Rogue Wave, etc)

That's all I can remember at the moment. smile.gif
DavidCookiemonster
I met Art as well. It's ashame about Everclear. They kinda disappeared.I mean they are still going but it's like a different line-up.How is Billy Corgan?? He seems kinda like a ***
lindzluffsacookie
You guys have met so many amazing people! I'm still young and have a long way to go.
Most people that I've met are sort of hometown celebrities, but to me they are still famous.
So here is my list.

-Nevertheless (amazing band! So sweet)
-Red (the band-they claim to be "christian" but aren't very nice)
-Fall Out Boy (all of them)
-Senses Fail (all of them. Hilarious and friendly)
-Brandon Heath (AMAZING musician, adorable, and I got to have a jam session with him. It was SO cool)
-A Change of Pace (hometown)
-John Hock (e-famous)
-Corey Pattakos (John Hock's "rival")
-Tony Kletpo (my ex)
-Alive in Wild Paint (good friends with bassist, David Roat)
-ZeroTheory (will be big someday)
-Dream State (Great guys, not very well known)
-Brighten (fun to chill with)
-It's Like Love (I danced with them on stage)

I hope to increase this as my life moves on. Most of the people I know aren't that famous, but they're decently famous to their fans. And a lot of them will have amazing careers if they keep working hard.
I want to go into the entertainment industry (but not as an entertainer). And I hope to meet amazing people.

Billy Corgan is very moody. Sometimes he can be the nicest most gracious person... other times he can be a jerk. I suppose he's only human, but he has a huge ego (clearly).

you guys are lucky!
it's pretty rare that i meet people because i live in texas and no one ever comes here
but i did manage to meet:

all of my chemical romance because we had really good seats and we were shouting at them and waving and gerard told me that i was hot(i don't think he realized i was under 18) and bob laughed at my friend's sign she was holding up

all of ivory line

all of schoolyard heroes, their bassist was amazingly sweet! i love his hair

all of farewell to freeway their lead singer and bassist were funny and the lead singer went backstage to get me and my friend some water since we were in the pit and were about to suffocate

angel, nick, and wiL from aiden, my friend almost stole wiL and angel's shoes (lol don't ask) and i got to hug all of them when they let some of the people int he pit get onstage. nick is so soft!! and my shirt STIL smells like wiL and that was in febuary, and yes i have washed it multiple times

jeff and sam from phantom planet

all of the hush sound, everyone was sweet but chris was amazingly adorable! we talked for about 10 minutes about random stuff it was cute when he'd get all shy smile.gif! and then my friend practically scared bob because she was so excited to meet him he thought she was going to pass out but instead she took her shoe off and gave it to him to sign, his face was priceless!

Do athletes count...if so, I've met a ton...i can't list them all, but here's a few...

Aaron Rowand: I didn't talk at all, I was so starstruck...he and DC are probably the only 2 people that could shut me up like that

Brent Seabrook: my favorite hockey player
Every Chicago Blackhawk from the 2007-2008 season
Tony Stewart
Most of the White Sox, including Nick Swisher and AJ Pierzynski, my 2 favorite players

And much, much more!!!
Miss Taylor
I met Jerry Mathers who played Beaver on Leave it to Beaver, he was kind of quiet though. biggrin.gif
I also just this past summer, met Robin Wilson, lead singer of the Gin Blossoms, which if you ever get a chance, you should definately go and see them! He is so nice to all of his fans. He sings into your cellphones and signs tickets and posters. I usually think that rocker guys are stuck up and have an attitude, but Robin was a very down to earth, laid back guy. Haha. I have photos with him. He was such a sweetie to my friends little sis! biggrin.gif
And I've met C. Thomas Howell, well I've talked to him through his radio shows, a couple of times. (He was big in the 80s and played Ponyboy in the Outsiders). He's very outgoing, funny and laidback. biggrin.gif

This is going to be embarrassing. I'm some what of a Trekkie and have been to a few conventions with my dad lol. I've met and/or taken pictures with Michael Dorn, Brent Spiner, Robert Picardo, William Shatner, George Takei, PATRICK STEWART <3. I went to a LOTR one and was supposed to get a pic with Elijah Wood. He canceled, but I met Sean Astin. My dad of course met Elijah Wood in LA...told him I had a crush on him...to which he responded "most girls do". Dork

Jesse McCartney was in Atlantis (Bahamas) while I was there. They let me in (and only me for some reason) to his sound check and we chatted. I really don't care for him. Plus he ran over my brother with a golf cart, while cutting in front of everyone getting online for a water slide. Lame ass.

Sports wise I've met Chuck Knoblauch <3 (if anyone knows who he is... gold star. 10 gold stars if you were a fan) Andy Pettitte, Ted Lilly, Wade Boggs, Mark Texiera, oh...

I was on TV asking Johnny Damon a question on a YES (Yankees) network TV show. He approached me afterwards and said I was really nice and we chatted for a while. I offered to babysit his twin kids, but he said he had a nanny already. Oh well. I really coulda used the cash..

Derek Jeter laughed at me as I told of some teeny boppers that were ogling over him and giving me a headache. Thats about it though.

Um...Lindz, you forgot DAVID COOK, Archie, etc. Okay, I know you didn't forget them (lol) but you must include them in your list of course!

I love this topic smile.gif

Here's my list and so far I've enjoyed everyone I've met, they've been beyond accommodating to me:
Canadian Musicians/Actors:
Jared Padalecki (well it was mostly about me staring at him with my jaw wide open.. but you get the idea)

Jared Padalecki is Canadian? I thought he was from Texas?! Aha sorry. Do you mean you met him in Canada?
MellyBelly
I've been fortunate to meet a lot of the people from American Idol from season two on.... people tell me that I'm really lucky but I find that it's more of being in the right place at the right time. Just this past weekend, I went to NYC and saw a lot of Broadway shows. I met Drew Lachey and Stephen Collins (dad from 7th Heaven) and also Ashley Parker Angel after Hairspray.

Aside from music people, I've met David Wright of the New York Mets and several soap opera stars. Several years ago (at a Farm Fresh Extravaganza) I met Ann B. Ross (Alice from the Brady Bunch), Adam West (the original Batman), and Kenan Thompson from the old Kenan and Kel show.
