Hey, did he change the direction of his side bangs/part? They're sweeping camera right instead of camera left... I might not have noticed that during Kimmel or other recent appearances.

He didn't seem all that tired to me... those webcams aren't the most flattering, and he's just talking right into it instead of to an interviewer. Vlogs always kind of look like that and people always kind of look a little washed out on webcams. I wouldn't worry. He can handle it. Touring is grueling and when his first smash hit CD comes out he's going to be on a non-stop North American tour, with cities added to accomodate sellout crowds. Nothing that a high energy, level headed 25 year old like him (26 next year) can't handle!

He looks like he doesn't feel well

, I don't want his work to take precedence over caring for himself.

I don't see it as anything to get upset and worried about either. I'm sure he is tired, I don't doubt that for a minute but when you win, this is all a part of the deal. Thanks for posting the update.

You know, things might actually ease up for him once the AI tour gets going. He's got a much shorter playlist than he would in a "real" concert promoting a full album. He will have these songs in his head (if he doesn't already) and there are generally 5 performances per week... so he doesn't need to rehearse that much. Probably just a sound check in the afternoon and then the performance... his voice may actually get to rest a little unless he pushes it on the performances. Singing daily shouldn't hurt his voice on this kind of tour. They will be taking the tour bus most of the time, except when they've got to make a big geographic jump... but those times will be few. Lots of sleep on the bus (like a real rock star!). Best of all, it sounds like he's got a lot of the album nailed down already. I'll bet they've laid down some of the tracks already, and they've got at least another week in LA before heading to Glendale, AZ to start the tour. He can record in LA again in two weeks (he's here in LA July 4th weekend, performs on the 7th) and then again in September if necessary. He can even lay down some tracks in New York when he's there, if they even need him to. That's plenty of time for post production so that the album can be out in November.

Yeah, he looks tired. Of course! Just this past week he did Leno, the NBA finals, and Jimmy Kimmel, he's been busy writing, there's the tour rehearsals, and let's not forget the 10,000 radio interviews that are popping up this week.
Great to hear he's gotten so much progress done. Can't wait for the record David!
I love this board because on another one the fangirls were being entirely too catty about his appearance and his knowledge of laptop camera angles. Geez. He's not perfect. It was great that he found time to throw us this bone.
I think I am officially pathetic because I've noticed he's only added 2,000 MySpace friends since yesterday. Hee.

Yes, but I read some of the posts and its the camera that makes a mirror image. Which would explain the change

I always check those things out. I was at his myspace a few hours ago and he had over 91,000 friends at that time. Pretty impressive considering it's only been there for a few weeks.

Thanks for the analysis, Scott (thoughtful as always). I hate to add to his list of things to do, but I really like the idea of the vblog like this and getting to see and hear him unscripted, in real life (not an interview show) once in awhile. As you can see, we're all hyper-sensitive to his health and well-being! (maybe especially some of us cougars). When I see him, then I know he's okay.

The tour is gonna also have interviews that DC and the Idols will need to go to every morning show (5am-7am) and then radio. So; they better sleep on the bus!!!!

*raises hand* Who else is as excited that so many songs are already in the works, or done? I don't know about anyone else here, but I really hope that any song that he has collaborated with Raine makes it on the album.

Good thing they've knocked out 7 already. He probably has more than that but they're still working on it of figuring out what makes the album and what doesn't.
That was before Leno, he was more exhausted and his two performances were amazing. We've seen him after that and he didn't look as tired, so it's alll fine.
The tour is almost here!

I can't believe he has SEVEN songs already!!!

I wonder if they are all songs he wrote? Or if there are any from his previous recordings.....oh the anticipation! I love, love, love that he keeps us informed.
I agree, I think the tour will be less strenuous than American Idol, the show. For one, there are no judges. Secondly, they don't have as many songs to sing. And finally, you know they are going to have a blast together! Oh, to be a fly on the wall of that bus (or buses). Sigh....

I'm wondering if these are all brand newly composed 7 songs. He had said 2-3 weeks ago that he turned in some of his pre-idol stuff to the record producers for consideration.
Please choose The Truth!!! I just love that song, and with new expensive production tools David now has at his his disposal, it would be amazing.
