No, I don't think he's British - not all British men are quite as clueless as Nigel L and Simon C
Actually, I found that pretty funny, very silly and clueless, but funny, yet another man not understanding what appeals to us Ladies

just thought right now we shouldn't take seriously any negative press david gets. for all we know, there's no truth in them, and they're just being used to fire us up some more...like what happened during the top 2 night when simon practically bashed dcookie, resulting in droves & droves of fans voting (DC FTW!).

Folks:
Please don't let any negative media press upset you. Some of the media is going to have a field day, digging up old information, keeping David under a microscope.
There is a lot of jealousy out there right now.
As supporters we need to rise above this (David has) and continue to send him positive energy as he goes on this AI tour, continues with his writing process for his CD and as he starts to get involved in his Cancer Awareness Projects.

Has that dude seen Clay Aiken lately? I'll take hot David & his hotter "caterwalling" anyday over Clay!!!
He's probably jealous that HE (whoever he is) wasn't nominated, that's all. Some of the people on that list were odd choices, imo. Britney Spears' brother? Bret Michaels? Good grief! Couldn't they find enough hotties like David & Mario to round out the list?

I agree Annette. Jabs like this will continue throughout his career. As much as I would love to get that guy's eyesight checked, I'm not concerned about it. Writing letters to this *blind* idiot won't change his opinion. This is something we might as well get used to.

Careful -- we gotta keep the story straight. This was NOT the New Yorker magazine -- it was New York Magazine. A small distinction it may seem, but it's like the difference between steak and hamburger. The New Yorker is probably the best magazine ever, bar none. Their writers can be quite critical too, but they're never idiots.

As for the Vulture Article, as a New Yorker accustomed to the press's self promotion and vast ego, I just read the article. It was meant very Tongue in Cheek. Sarcastic, maybe so sarcastic that their point was missed
( their.. Ahem... super intelligence is missed on us "regular" people) Their whole objective is to instigate. To rattle your cage. and they did. They don't really care if David Cook is , sexy, smart and talented. They don't think Archuleta is better. They just want to write the opposite of whatever you want them to write. They are getting a good chuckle from the whole thing. I would be upset but they probably aren't from New York. These transplants give us a bad name

Someone beat me to this, but this guy has an Archie bias from way back. The fact that he prefers Archie and Clay to Cook says all you need to know about his musical tastes. We will never change his mind, so let's just ignore him and let him stay in the big-band era where he belongs.
And while I love Clay for what he is and have nothing against Archie, has anyone noticed it's the middle-of-the-road crooners with limited commercial appeal who attract the most notorious fanbases? Clay, Taylor, Archie. Yet they don't have staying power because you can't do anything with them in the real world. Cook is totally different and we don't need to make things bad for him by acting like Claymates.

As to there being enough of him for everyone I have no idea what that is in reference to. How you got that I was monopolizing him when none of us even know him is beyond me.
