I want to plan out what to say if (no, WHEN!) I meet him. I don't want to just do the "I love your music, blah blah" and I certainly don't want to blurt out "You're so HOT!"

In the past with celebrities I have said things that probably everyone else in the world has said, and this time I want to be just a little unique, and possibly a little memorable?

What do YOU plan to say to David?

I would probablly ask a few questions about Analog Heart. Then tell him that if he ever feels nervous when he is about to sing in front of thousands of people think about the 2000+ fans he has that are there for him and that we will always be there to support him. something along those lines.

Well, I'm hoping to give him a gift package that includes a cd that I'm putting together (A Word Nerd Tribute to Analog Heart), so I would probably mention that first. It might go something like this: "Hi David, my name is Stacey and I have something for you." Then I'd go on to tell him about the tribute cd, how I organized it and which songs I did and which songs I think are stand-outs. I'd also explain that I have included a book of letters and pictures by the artists that covered his songs. Then I'd tell him that I think he's an amazing artist and that I hope he enjoys his first tribute album because I'm sure there will be many more to follow! Yeah... something along those lines.

So hopefully he's feeling social on July 19th and he decides to come out and talk to the fans because it would be pretty sad to do all this work and not be able to give it to him in person! I'm hopeful.

If I ever got a chance to meet David, I'd bring my musician husband along so that they could blab away about music and I'd be freed of the pressure of coming up with something memorable to say! LOL

Oh I have been stressing about not being able to meet him at the concert for a long time. My mom keeps telling me 'not to give my hopes up' and my aunt says 'we all have dreams' and I can't take it! I have said on numerous ocassions that I don't want to meet David Cook I NEED TO MEET DAVID COOK AND THATS THAT!

I honestly have no idea what I would say. I need to think of something!

now that we are talking about this subject...Tonight I am probablly gonna actually write some ideas down in a journal. lol. I was thinking about making a joke about that fan that said 'you have no idea what you do to me when I listen to your music by myself' I want to think of something to say to him that will make him laugh because I love hearing him laugh.

That's a real tough question for me to answer. I probably would pass out if I got to meet Cookie.

first, i'll say, screaming : "oh my God, oh my david!"
then hug him tightly for a few seconds, while feeling his chest or maybe even his heartbeat because i know i'm short to him so that's just perfect spot, i think i don't need to sniff him because hugging him like that already make my nose get 'it'
after that, release him and say while looking to that gorgeous face and killing eyes "i love you very very very much and adore you for how amazing you are. i know you won't remember me, but i'll remember this for the rest of my life!"
i think i'll hug him again after that
oh, and taking a few picture with him of course
and kiss him in the cheek maybe
or he kiss mine would be lovely

i have a lot in mind to say to David but i don't think i can utter at least a single word when i meet him ( star struck)...but i'll probably regret it when it's over, so i'll say 'thank you for your music. you are hottest man alive!!'lol

This wouldn't be a difficult one for me. I've actually thought about this since DC is often in my neighborhood. I'm one block off the Sunset Strip and he's up here from time to time... not just to go to the clubs but he shops at Boot Star which is 1/2 block (literally around the corner) from me.

That said, it's simple. I would say, dude, you need to hear this from a guy for a change... you need to know what your male fans think. I would briefly tell him his music so awsome and how he backs it all up... but I would mainly tell him that what works for fans like me and other men is his integrity. That I hope he feels both validated and vindicated by his final performance choice, and that's what might have boosted his final votes. That his fans "got it" and still appreciate his decision to give us something new and from the heart. I'd conclude by saying I eagerly await the album and that I will buy the entire CD (already pre-ordered on amazon!) without even listening to it first... that he's among among the few artists (along with U2, REM, Coldplay and a few others) whom I will always like each cut enough to warrent an entire album purchase. Then I'd stop him from saying thanks and would insist on thanking him for sharing his gift with us, and for being the kind of artist that respects and cares about his fans. Sounds mushy but I'd keep it cool and do my best keeping it from becoming awkward.

lol omg I couldn't help laughing while reading that. I am trying to find the right line to say to him that will make him remember me. My parents think I am really funny so hopefully I can come up with something.

To be honest, I bet the day that I meet David, it will be really extremely memorable for him. Cos he won't be able to forget the vision of this fan girl, just staring at him, totally red cheeks (not rouge), hands waving wildly(pls get my act together), legs buckling like jelly(trying not to fall into him), heaving chest(gasping for breadth) , mouth open wide (to say all the witty stuff that I have so rehearsed) but nothing ever coming out... damn it!

I would probably be too star struck to speak! Honestly, I don't know what I would say. Probably something pretty lame! LOL!

as I imagined myself... first.. absolutely I would be star-strucked.. probably "completely out of words.." but trying to keep a big smile on my face.. looked him in the eye.. asked him for an autograph and a snapshot.. then tell him that not only he's famous in U.S. he also has fans in the Philippines, where I'm at.. and his version of "Always be My Baby" has been number one in all local radio charts.. and would be looking forward for his next album and continue to support him all throughout.. keep on inspiring us! after that politely ask him for a hug.. then everything will be captured on camera.. for keepsakes.. **gush*

I'd Probaly do what i did when i was mearly a few feet from him at the Today show performance...: Cry. lol and then say in the most sincer voice ever "you are so wonderful" and leave it at that cuz i wouldn't know what else to say

If I were to meet David, I would probably drop into a dead faint, and by the time I came to, he'd probably already be gone. But if I didn't faint, then I'd probably drool. A LOT. And then I'd blabber like and idiot, and pass gas. That happens when I get nervous. Wait...Too much information...
