aww...although its sad, im glad he's getting better...its a hard time for him, but its nice to know that he's sharing his story with both his fans and others. God bless him

I saw this over at the official boards and have already been (and posted) there. I'm stoked he is going into CCM. I can't quite stop repeating what an amazing bunch of Idols this years 'class' are.

Luke is a real trooper with all he has been through. I wish him the very best and I pray that all the treatments will be successful.

I agree! They were at a whole different level of maturity. Not to say that the other seasons weren't mature, but there was something about this season that made me respect them all. Maybe it was the effect the winner had on us all ;)

I find this year's bunch very united. They're so close togehter. I've so far yet to hear anything about them badmouthing or fighting with one another, which is a very positive sign.

I am also stoked that he's going to CCM music. I wish I had heard more of him on AI.
But whenever his songs make into CCM music I'll be sure and give it listen.
Also when he releases a CD, I'll be buying that one too.

He's also writing songs with former AI singer Chris Sligh (curly hair; season 6).

Luke posted on his blog that he had a CT scan done this morning. This is the first scan he's had since starting chemo and he's waiting for the test results.

Could you please send up some prayers that the results show the mass in his chest as shrinking (or at the very least, not growing!) and that the chemotherapy is working!?!

GOOD NEWS! In probably the fastest turn around of CT scan results I've ever seen (LOL), Luke blogged today that he received a call from his nurse and found out that the mass is shrinking! They are having the scans from the LA hospital sent out so that they can compare the two, but the doctor is already pleased with the progress.

what a WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!

I have a friend who had Hodgkin's lymphoma, and she is doing very well now, in fact she's a doctor...an ONCOLOGIST!!!

I know Luke will be able to overcome this disease...
