Anyway here's how I see it - Boy to man in such a short time!

The simple fact that we can find so many of the same exact poses from before and after, proves that he is still the same David Cook - true to himself - just a different hair cut and a few pounds lighter. LOVE HIM!! Thanks for sharing.

Well I definitely think that losing the weight gave him a much more chiseled manly appearance. So that's a big part of it, but it's really the whole combination of factors involved. I mean, the hair really looks so much better, IMO. I think he really does look way different.

In the beginning I did notice him for being immensely talented, but I wasn't really ogling him until the end. I believe he would have won either way, I mean the guy has so much going for him, even without the makeover. But I do think that the newfound hotness may have played a partial role in that 12 million vote margin.

The eyebrow one cracks me up. And yeah, it wasn't too hard to find pictures of him in the same poses. He is still our loveable David with his adorable facial expressions, after all!

StitchMeUp...can you put the one where he's listening to the judges after Eleanor Rigby (the first one below) next to the one where he's listening to the judges after Innocent (the one GetShorty has on her avi...i think it's innocent, but noticed it also on ABMB). It's the IDENTICAL expression with the two different hair styles. he would always make that face while waiting for simon's comments.

Great composite of pictures! Nice job! I think loosing the "baby fat" makes him look more like a man and less like a boy. Hard to believe it happened in such a relatively short period of time.

I loved it! The accidental growth of stubbles made a big impact on the transformation. But he's hot either way. I just prefer his "transformed" looks.

I love the transformation, the weight loss and haircut designed to showcase those eyes were just amazing. He's still the same David, just a slightly more polished, sophisticated version. Even his clothing style hasn't really changed that much, it's just a bit more polished - hopefully we won't ever see that black shirt and pink tie combination again

"His Royal Handsomeness" had been undercover from the beginning with those long wispy hair top and sides. But... he could no longer hide cos everyone noticed him so he had to reveal his true self... actually he has been handsome all along...probably the trick up his sleeves was to make us notice his singing talent first before his looks..hmm..i know DC is the smart cookie!

The change is incredible, but what I love the most is that no matter what style he's rocking, he's still true to himself.

Yes, I believe that. I've heard him say somewhere that it was all a part of the "progression", and that he kind of planned to go through the whole transformation thing a little at a time all along. What a way to completely hook us in...he knew what he was doing and it was VERY smart.

hahaha...told ya, identical expression...the man hasn't changed a bit.

Man...he's like a completely different man in those shots. Kinda strange seeing it like this. I love David's facial hair and short hair, but part of me still loves the ol' hair-swoop David.

I remember watching Dolly Parton week, seeing his new haircut, and thinking, "Who is this sexy beast?" Then I realized it was David, my jaw just dropped. IGB week was hectic for me, so I didn't really notice it. Mariah Carey week quadruple thudded me; and believe it or not, my dad walked in late, and so that was the first performance he saw, and he said, "I don't think it was that good." I was like...*smack*. Anyway, Andrew Lloyd Webber week, I found out he was doing Music of the Night, and I was uber excited about it. Then when he actually sang it, it was like my floor was hot coals; I couldn't stop jumping! My dad actually had to yell at me to stop. It was amazing... His transformation physically was beautiful, but I'm just glad he's still the same person inside!

I Prefer his actual look, but he has always been hot for me.

I know! It seemed to happen overnight. I think he must have lost 10 pounds in 2 or 3 weeks. That, combined with the hair, the scruff...completely transformed. Usually men don't change much, even after makeovers, but damn - he looked SO different.
