All I really need is Cook

I hope I'm doing this right. This is my first time to start a new topic. I love this site. I visit 3-4 times a day just to keep up with David.
Of course nothing can top AH, but I'm really starting to dig Axium's music as well.
I really love the slower songs, Balance, Just In Case, Therapy, Incarcerate.. Oh I could go on. I only have one song from Matter of Time. I've thought about buying it on EBay unless someone has another idea how to get my hands on the music.
Anyway, Who listens to Axium's music, which song is your favorite and why?

For some reason I don't really listen to Matter of Time but I listen to The Story Thus Far and Blindsided every chance I get! I'm even listening at this very moment to Truth is a Gun!
But hmm my favorites? It's hard!! I like them all for different reasons but I kinda of like the more upbeat songs. But the slow ones are good too! Gosh Incarcerate... I find that song so soothing! I might have to think on this one for awhile...

That is such a difficult question. I love AH also but he just sounds so primal and sexual in Axium. I really love Pecking Order and Holding Court. Some other good ones are Leave Behind and Hold. I can't really explain why those are my favorites-I guess there is something about those songs that I identify with. I really wish he could perform with them again or at least do one of the songs on tour sometime soon or in the future.

Clean Break

My personal Axium favorite is Therapy... It really hits home with me, the lyrics that is. I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve. But I do like to listen to them all, I also like Peace of Mind, Whipped, AC & Wavelength... But again this Texas girl loves them all...

I only have The Story Thus Far - great album. It's hard for me to pick favorite songs from it. I was driving last night for a couple of hours and it was great music for the trip.

Clean Break is my all time favorite Axium song. Those lyrics. It's like he's inside my brain. Esp. "Bleeding, forming scars in vain. I'm finding no shelter from a never ending rain. I'm finding I don't know you, I don't know you. But I, I'll pay you back in kind." As an aside, has anyone noticed how fond he is of blood/bleeding imagery in his lyrics? Analog Heart is filled with it too. "bloodied by my fists clenched, swinging." "my ears they bled before I need to let them heal." Just to reference a few.
Second favorite is probably Holding Court - so freaking sexy. Kinda dark, tortured and angsty.

I only have Story Thus Far and my favorite song is "AC" because it's so raw and from his heart. I love how tender the lyrics are but how "rock" the music is. It gets me teary eyed every time I listen to it! (sending prayer up for Adam)

I only started listening to the Axium stuff this week (just bought "Blindsided" and "The Story Thus Far" from WM music downloads), so I haven't been through it all yet. But so far "Incarcerate" is definitely my favorite. The echo effect is hypnotic. I also love "AC" because of its raw emotion. There definitely is a different feel to David's younger voice.

Totally love Axium.
I go through song favorites like a long string of affairs. Acoustic "Somber" and I were hot and heavy last week, we've cooled off a bit but did have a fling this afternoon. lol Before that, you couldn't pry me off of "Leave Behind". Before that was "Clean Break". There were others Hold & Incarcerate, of course, Holding Court, Whipped. But my first was "On the Floor" and I was very please to find out that that particular one DC penned all by himself

Lately I've been caught flirting with "Unlucky". So we will see how that heats up.

I only recently had a chance to hear the Axium songs at least once each...so don't have a favorite yet. One standout, though...the "i ever let you goooo-ohhhhhhhhh-oooooohhhhhhh...." from Clean Break (3:49-4:04) did make me go "DA-YUM!". I could picture him singing that and doing that head-turn-to-the-right he does to get that last note, just as you think he's going to run out of air.

You can get Axium's "The story Thus Far" and "Blindsided" from Walmart mp3 downloads at the following link:
http://downloads.walmart.com/swap/ then search for Axium.
My favorites from The Story Thus Far are:
Holding Court
Balance
Incarcerate
My favorites from Blindsided are:
Hold
Just in Case
Therapy
But I love them all really! I play the albums from beginning to end all the time.

For me it's "Callout." I love his soaring vocals on that track, esp when he goes up an octave and modulates toward the end. It shows off his powerful voice and the perfect pitch he has when he belts it out. I like the guitar riffs in that as well.
I also love the live cover of "Creep," and the f-bomb he drops! The unsensored version on youtube has a great intro with a few more f-bombs! And his voice is so deep... he sings in his lowest baritone range.
I love this thread. I started a similar one in the pre-idol sub-forum about Axium & Callout last week but it didn't go very far! I think what's nice is that he's got a full band backing him up which provides a rich texture.

Most are at
http://davidcooktheamericanidol.com/musicYou can get Creep on youtube... it rips and burns pretty nicely! Just put David Cook Creep in the search. In fact, they're probably ALL on youtube. Make sure you click the ones with the best quality audio (fyi, bad quality video doesn't necessarily mean bad audio). If you move your cursor to the top of the video box, you should get a download option. You can easily download it to real player.

I really love the Axium stuff! Hard to pick a fave, but off the top of my head I do like:
Just in Case
Holding Court
Incarcerate
Balance
Callout
Peace of Mind
....I've got a soft spot for AC too.
I wish I could get a hold of these albums, but they're ridiculously priced Ebay. I'm not saying they aren't worth the price, but I wish I didn't have to pay out the ass for EVERYTHING I like.

Sorry, guess I shouldn't have abbreviated. It's Wal-Mart's music download store. I access it through Windows Media Player, bought and downloaded the songs from "Blindsided" and "The Story Thus Far" (actually had a hard time downloading them, kept having to restart the downloads and I had never had that problem w/ Wal-Mart before.) They downloaded as .mp3's so they were easy to transfer to iTunes and then onto my iPod. One of the albums was $8 and change and the other was $9-something.
I loooooove the live version of "Creep" -- usually I hate it when people use the F word so cavalierly, but with DC it just amuses me to no end!

Oh! I absolutely love one of the live versions of AC, in one of them, in the beginning, he laughs while he's singing because of something in the audience or a band mate or something. It's freakin hilarious and it makes me laugh every time! I find myself listening to it over and over just to hear that laugh!!!
