I am way bummed because I can't make it to the concert because my family has to go see my grandparents on July 3...and I have no choice...being only 15...I don't have a drivers licence yet...and I can't go...sucks huh! Oh well, anyone else have a similar story??? Or am I the only one...sad.gif

you're not the only one. i can't afford to go. i want to though. i really do.
Cooked For Cook
You are not the only one. That is for sure. I feel like I should have saved the money up for his own concert! So don't be soo worried 'bout it. wink.gif

I'm missing out too... the cards are definitely not in my favor sad.gif I'm in Colorado doing an internship, and I'm not going back home to Michigan until after both the Chicago AND Detroit shows, and then I'm leaving for a semester abroad a week before the Grand Rapids show... terrible luck.

I can't either. My parents will be taking my sister to college, and my grandma would have to take me. Which would soo not happen. And besides that, I don't have any money and my parents are already paying for me to fly to Texas to visit my friend (and while there, go on a shopping spree and go to a theme park, etc.) and they wouldn't want to pay for concert tickets, too.

i don't live in the US at the moment, and i've already made my 1st yearly visit to see my parents (i only get to visit them twice a year). lack of time and money keep me from making it to a concert. if enough money comes around by august, i am willing to cut class to make the voyage to whatever show still has tickets available.

well the concert isn't coming to my state... so i'm pretty bummed about it... but ya know.. he is going to have to go on Tour after he releases his album... so i'm definitely going to be hitting up that concert!!..lol.
Cookey's Fan
Believe me, I'm the most bummed of all. sad.gif

For starters, I'm residing outside of the USA, so even if I wanna be there, I can't.

Yeah, the AI tour isn't coming to my state either and I don't have time to drive 500+ miles this summer to get to one of them, got too much stuff going on. I'm just hoping he comes here on the tour for his new album.
Katt
I'm not going sad.gif

But hopefully I'll make it when he's the main attraction, and can play his own songs happy.gif

Being a cougar, it was hard trying to find someone that wants to spend that kind of money on AI tour tickets. I didn't want to go alone. My teenage kids are not interested. But I think I can convince my daughter to go with me when Cookie goes on tour by himself.
Cookie's Girl
The only concert that I would be able to go to just happens to be the day before school starts, so there's no way that my parents will let me go. Ugh, I hate being 15. Hopefully, when he goes on tour solo, I'll be able to go see him. I cannot WAIT til his CD comes out!!

I won't be going as I live in Canada and the only tour date is in Toronto and I am too far away to get there...Hoping that some who will be going will be able to get pics &/or video of DC on stage... cool.gif

Yeah, I've been wondering about that, does anyone know if they let people bring cameras to the AI concerts? I know you can't at alot of venues.

If this is like many other concerts I've attended, they don't "let" you bring video or recording equipment into the concert, and yet somehow at the very minimum MP3's of the concerts somehow turn up, if you know where to look for them. Some videos show up as well. Lots of stuff you see on youtube comes from cell phone cameras.

If boots do come out, we'll have to check with Travis whether sharing/trading is allowed on this forum, I know it is on Springsteen forums as long as no one makes any money off it (i.e. you're allowed to ask only for postage and blank cds).

My kids/hubby don't want to go, not sure I want to go by myself to see the whole gang (although I would if it were just Cookie). Already seeing 2 concerts (Foo Fighters and Springsteen) the same week that Idols are playing in my area, so another one might be a bit much. Haven't ruled it out, I just don't have tickets yet -- have to see my mood and the reviews and the availability of tickets at the time.

Be interesting to hear David Grohl doing My Hero live and comparing it to Cookie's versions!!!

UGGGG!!!!!!!! okay so my family goes on vacation the same week in July every year...usually i don't mind because i never miss anything while we're gone...UNTIL THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!! so AI tour is coming really close to where i live and i would seriously stay home to go to it....except i can't drive yet....and the worst part is one of my friends is going and she won't get me and autograph or a picture of Cookie because she likes Archuleta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ISN'T THAT HORRIBLE!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! UGGGGG I WANT TO KILL HER FOR BEING SUCH A BUTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, I'm not really interested in going to the show other than to see David's set (and Michael Johns). I didn't even watch the group performances on AI, and I sure don't want to see them now surrounded by screaming teens. Combine that with the fact that the show isn't in Omaha (despite that being where the WINNER auditioned), and the price of tickets/hotel/gas to travel to Kansas City, and it's a no go for me. I will definitely see David when he tours on his own, and hope I won't have to wait long.

angry.gif I tried to get tickets but the nearest concert to me is either in Duluth or Tampa, and both were sold out, but that is okay, cause it just gives me more to spend on his solo tour. laugh.gif

I can't go either. My vacation happens to be between August 8-17 and i really wanted to go to the August 13 show in Philadelphia. I really wanted to see David Cook in concert along with Michael Johns and Carly Smithson the most. But I rather wait until David Cook go on tour solo.

I can't go either. It sucks, Tulsa (my city) is the last stop on the tour and I can't even go due to various reasons, the main one being money.
I'll just wait until his solo tour biggrin.gif
