I love movies!

Here are my Top 3 favorite movie scenes of all time.

1. Breakfast at Tiffany's- The part where Holly (Audrey Hepburn) sings "Moon River".
I don't know why, but I could watch that scene over and over. It's a great song.

2. Moulin Rouge- When Christian (Ewan McGregor) sings "Your Song" to Satine (Nichole Kidman).
It's SOOO romantic! I cry EVERY time.
I then bought the soundtrack just for that song.

3. Lord of the Rings: Return of the King: I actually have 2 that really got me.
The first was when Pippin and Gandalf are talking about what it's like to die (I sob like a baby)
&
The second is when everyone goes into battle yelling "For Frodo!" I cry thinking about it because, really, that's love right there.
I can't decide which one I like better. haha.

Haha. So, now that I've shared, what are yours?
Enamored by DC!!!!

1. Rent- "La Vie Boheme"- no questions asked! lmao!!!! one of my fave songs from the movie and play!

2. Pirates of the Carribbean: At World's End- The part when they're sword fighting on the rolling wheel, that's cool!

3. The Breakfeast Club: Bender making fun of Brian, the nerd ("Hey son!" "Hey dad!" "How about we go fishing this weekend?" yeah yeah that part) That movie as a whole is great cuz it mixes humor and deep emotion in it. true 80's teen classic!:)

I am a movie fanatic! This is such a hard decision. There are so many great scenes from so many movies. I don't think I could pick just 3.

Troy - this movie is great..the best! i love the scene when Priam went to Achilles camp to ask for Hector's body . He kneeled and kissed his hands despite of the war between them just to have a decent burial for his son.. I love their lines *about how many cousins, brother, father have you killed.....*,, it made me cry...
especially when Achilles (brad) wept while he was cleaning hector's body.. wink.gif

Indiana Jones--> from Raiders, has to be the scene in the marketsquare where the big guy is whaling around a sword, and Indy takes out his gun and shoots him. From Crusade: "Dad...Dad 11 o'clock!! 11 o'clock!!!! What Happens at 11 O clock?"

This is a really good topic. It made me do some serious thinking, as I am a total movie whore!! smile.gif This may be a long list, so bare with me!!

1) The Outsiders: I first read the book and then saw the movie when I was just 13 years old. It touched a part of my heart and soul that had been untouched at that time in my life. I don't know why I could connect so well with 7 "greasers" from the wrong side of the tracks in Oklahoma, but I did and to this day, I can see this movie and it brings back those feelings of my youth. The scene that touched me the most was the end when Johnny was dying and he told Ponyboy to "Stay Gold". It gives me chills to this day!!

2) Titanic: I know this is a movie alot of people deem as corny, but I loved it from start to finish. The director took a historic moment in time and made a movie surrounding it. Not only that but he made the love story of Jack and Rose timeless. My favorite scene is at the very end when he tells Rose that she will die in her bed a very old woman. "Not this night." Beautiful!!!!

3) Dazed and Confused: This whole movie makes me laugh, but I especially like the scene where Matthew McConaughey's character says, "That's what I like about high school girls... I get older and they stay the same age." Too funny!!

4) Never Been Kissed: The scene in the club "Deloser" where "Josie" has eaten a chocolate "GANGA" cake and then gets up on the stage and dances. PRICELESS!!!

5) Stand By Me: Great movie! I loved River Phoenix and my heart broke when he died. This movie was the first time I had witnessed his greatness onscreen, so I have to include it in my favorite scenes. The last scene where "Gordie" and "Chris" are walking away from one another and Gordie says, "See ya." and Chris (River's character) says, "Not if I see you first" and then the character fades away and you hear the person writing about it say, "Even though I hadn't seen Chris in over 20 years, I know I'll miss him forever." Amazing moment!

6) Scream: I love horror movies and this one is one of my favorites. During the first Scream towards the end when Sydney is standing in the kitchen with Stu and Billy and Billy has stabbed Stu and Stu says, "Stop it, wouldya? I'm feeling a little woozy here." LOVE that line..

7) Just Friends: Ryan Reynolds is one of the funniest men ever and he is brilliant in this movie. There are alot of scenes I could pick as my favorite but the scene that made me laugh the hardest was towards the end when he is trying to apologize to Jamie and the guy Dusty leaves and Chris goes, "I'm gonna miss him." It's the way Ryan delivers it, but it's CLASSIC!!!

Okay, that's enough for now.. smile.gif

Hmm this is tough, and I'll probably change my mind by tomorrow..BUT; 1. Velvet Goldmine- The scene when Ewan Mcgregor performs 'gimme danger'. EM performs as a 'rocker,' it's amazing, I belileve he is billy idol.
2. City of Angels- The scene after Meg Ryan dies...When Nick Cage is dealing with grief, and of course it is supported with Sarah McLachlan's Angel. 3. Rocky Horror Picture Show- possibly my favourite scene of all time. When the begginging bass line to 'sweet transvestite' comes in, and Tim Curry is facing backwards in this old lift...And all you see is this silver platform boot tapping in rhythm, amazing!
CareBear
Geez, theres so many.
Here's SOME of my fav. movies tho', in general if its a fav. movie, I LOVE the whole thing!!

PHENOMENON- when George Malley rushes to find missing child; when he goes outside and asks the stars/Universe what they are trying to tell him; when he lies in Kyra Sedgwicks arms and they just
cuddle and wait...; when his friend (the old guy) tells of the a**holes in the bar that just dont get it;
everytime George learns or does something amazing--gives us hope for our own abilities and what
we could be (will be again one day).

POWDER- when Powder makes the hunter feel the pain the deer he just shot feels; when Jeff Goldblum tells Powder how amazing he is and basically same as phenomenon, tells
him he gives him (Jeff) hope for humanity.

CITY OF ANGELS- "I'd rather spend one day with her, than live an eternity without her."
OMG! I think that says it all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MICHAEL- when he (the Angel Michael) walks downstairs with a beer and a cigarette in his hands!!

PLAINS, TRAINS, & AUTOMOBILES- "those arent pillows!" in the hotel room when they wake up after
getting drunk on samplers; "oh he's drunk, how do they know where we're going"-when the couple is
trying to tell them (Steve Martin & John Candy) that they are "going the wrong way" on the highway, when
Candy is doing the Mess Around-playing piano on the dash and his coat gets stuck and he loses his cigarette
and the car starts on fire! OMG that whole scene is hilarious.; the last scenes where S.Martin realizes that
Dell (J Candy) really isnt going home and that his wife has died and that is why the guy is the way he is, so he
takes him home to his house & family for thanksgiving and Dell meets S Martin's wife...you laugh the whole
movie and then they throw that in there at the end-- great emotional catharsis smile.gif

RAISING ARIZONA--"High, get up there and get me a baby!"--then he has 5 babies crawling all over the place;
when he robs the convenience store for Huggies w/ pantyhose on his head and the clerk says "Son, do you know you're wearin' panties on your head?" The Coen brothers Rock!

SIMON BIRCH--when Simon's friend tells Simon's parents that they treated Simon worthless like a burden and that THEY didnt deserve someone as beautiful as Simon; when Simon saves the kids on the bus and "goes" peacefully realizing his purpose/why God made him so small--so he would be able to fit thru the bus window and save the other kids; during the play when Simon is laying there and the girl bends over him and he says "Boooooooobs" and reaches up and grabs hers...

MR. HOLLAND'S OPUS- when Dreyfus sings "Beautiful Boy" Beautiful Cole to his son at the end.

KNIGHTS OF THE SOUTH BRONX- when 5 yr. old Darrius imagines his Ninja's to help him win
the team the trophy at the chess tournament!! This is a little known movie guys, but it is awesome
so if you like this genre you should definitely search for it. It stars Ted Danson as the teacher.
Spiritual Cinema Circle carries it.

MOULIN ROUGE- whenever Nicole & Ewan sing to each other. when they defy the count at the end for True Love.

LOVE ACTUALLY- when the little boy takes a chance and goes after the girl at the airport and tells her he loves her.

HARD DAYS NIGHT--"He's a very clean man". "Yes, yes he is".--the scene in the train cab; when John is in the bathtub one minute and then disappears as if down the drain; the scene with John & the fanGirl in the hall/stairway where she says "You look just like him", "Oh do I? I dont think so" "Oh, yes, yes you do".
John Lennon was hilariously funny.

HELP--when the pretty girl looks at George while they are sitting on the couch and he faints; when Paul gets stabbed accidentally w/ the needle and shrinks into Tiny Paul; every time Ringo puts his hand w/ the sacred ring into a hole or slot and it gets stuck, etc.; when they are all sleeping in the same room, but John calls George on the phone anyway to wake him up and as if the phone wouldnt wake em all up, he puts the
alarm clock up to the phone!

INTOLERABLE CRUELTY- "You Fascinate Me!" when George Clooney says this to Catherine ZetaJones in the elevator.

DIE HARD- "Yippee Ky Ay"

ARMY OF DARKNESS-- "This Here's My Boomstick."

Ok, I know that's way too many! I got hundreds more believe me smile.gif
I watch too much TV and dvd's.......
