If you could choose a track to be in DC first album, what music would you choose ? And why ?

I would say The Truth.
Only because of the beautiful and meaningful lyrics and the way it can make your heart melt. It'd be a for sure hit!
Dustin
i want "Always Be my Baby" to be in his album.. not only that his version really rocks it.. but it has been a hit on the other part of the world (Asia).. topping the radio charts.. and i totally love the song..

i also want him to do a duet with kelly clarkson.. that would be cool!

I agree with "The Truth" and also "Always Be My Baby" . One song from AH and one song from AI! "The Truth" is amazing: both the lyrics and melody are so emotional. His version of Mariah's song was phenomenal and would also do extremely well. I say release them both. And then the rest of the album can be new material.
Dustin
"Searchlights" from AH is awesome too.. and definitely will be a hit!

I think whatever he decides to put on his album will be good. He is an excellent songwriter and vocalist. I think he will know what is best mucially for him. I will definitely get it when it comes out along with David Achuelta CD. I deifintely think that they both will receive grammys in 09'. I think David will win a grammy for the Best Time of My Life. I enjoy both of their styles and I appreciate rock as well as ballards. I am open to different styles of music. He has been excellent at rearragning music so I defintely think the the music to come is going to be great. I will be a lifetime fan as along as he remains in the music profession.

I'm actually looking forward to all new songs. If he is able to re-record any of his own stuff, that is fine as well, but it doesn't have to happen.

Eugenia, I really don't think he will win a grammy for TOML. If that happened, you could knock me over with a feather.

Any song would be great! His voice is so versitile he can sing anything! He CAN sing " The Phonebook"!
I know I'll love it word per word!
He'll be the most successful idol yet there's no doubt about that!
Is he the most famous also? Not sure but I've heard it somewhere that he is! If he isn't... Oh come on!!!
That's Ridicoluous! The songs that the during AI are already that famous even before he became the American Idol of 2008!
Ahhhhhh! I can't wait anymore! hahah... so impatient! When is it coming again?

I hope that the new album is comprised of new music - previously unreleased music, that is. Supposedly David was writing for a new album before and during his time on Idol, so I would suspect that he'll include some of that music.

Better Never than Late (a.k.a. "Optimistic to a Fault"). That has to be in his upcoming album! cool.gif
annie702
I would also like to see new and unreleased original D.Cook material.

i hope so too, since we have that small acoustic preview...i'd love to hear the full song asap...also, since OTAF was a harder rock album than AH ("a proverbial aural onslaught" biggrin.gif ), I REALLY want to know what that song is supposed to sound like with a full band.
As for unreleased D.Cook material that I've never heard, haven't the foggiest notion of what's in the lyric, but would still like to see on the new album: A Daily AntheM...the title itself is meaningful to him and i saw an old myspace comments where someone said it was catchy.

David Cook, I can honestly say as a grandmother of 6,that you are one of the "BEST" new singers to grace the stage in years. You have a voice unlike any other out there today, and a charming personality to accompany it. I first want to say.God Bless you & your Family, and all you are going through with your older brother Adam.He is in my prayers. When you do your first album,if it is possible,I would love to hear The Phamtom of the Opera on it. Your voice, when doing this song,is unlike any other. I can honestly say it is better than the original. My friend downloaded it & put it on a CD for me,it still gives me CHILLS every time I hear it.This is coming from my heart,I hope you stay as genuine as you are,and wish you all the success you truly deserve.Stay true to yourself, and your family. Congratulations on your success, Shamus
!DaviD-CooK!
whatever song david cook sings will be amazing, but i think it would be interesting for him to sing the song Shadow of the day-Linkin Park that would be totally awesome. I also think I'd be cool if he sang a song by nickle back, green day and linkin park. Or he sang Whatever it takes by Life House blink.gif unsure.gif unsure.gif

Another grandmother says "DITTO" You have an amazing voice and I would also love to have Music Of The Night and The First Time I Saw Your Face on a record, (The First Time was so much better than any other version that I can find). I also like "I'm Alive as it is so uplifting.
You will go far with your music because of who you are and how you have been handling your talent. The progression of your music thru the Idol competition is a "neat" thing to watch. Good luck to you keep your family close, they are so dear. Thank you for sharing yourself and your music with all of us.

i would like The Truth or Makeover
or All I Really Need is You because there's no studio version of it
oor, First Time Ever I Saw Your Face
he sang it amazingly

I'm kind of on the fence about putting something on the album we've heard over and over again. I think that ABMB should be released as a single, but there's really no reason to add it to the album since we all already own it anyway...and I've listened to it well over 200 times! I just want to hear all new stuff, I guess...

OH, and if David and Kelly did a duet, I could die a happy woman because my life would be complete. I can't even imagine how incredible that song would be...

Besides looking forward to his original music, I would like to see him record some music along the lines of his "Music of the Night" arrangement from Phantom. I think he has the versatility, voice, and soul to do some of this type of stuff along with the more expected "rock" genre. I'd like to see that showcased and would LOVE to listen to it.
pattieann
Makeover would be amazing - it is my current favorite from AH
Also The Truth
But then anything he does is sure to be amazing because of his beautiful voice and songwriting talent!
