My office is at Caesars Palace and I knew David was going to be on the View today so as soon as I got in I marched myself downstairs to look for the set. As I walked over to the back of where they were taping I could sort of hear David in the middle of TOML so I stood by the security guard, joked around with him a a bit about blowing off work to be there, and just listened. Guys, he sounded really good from where I was standing but I was complaining because I couldn't see anything so one of the Hertz drivers took me around to where people were standing around waiting and told me that's where the acts walk by when they get off stage. I walked right up to the barrier and waited. Sure enough, out of one of the buildings comes Cook and Archuletta...and the crowd goes wild!!! They were whisked off to some tent (maybe for interviews?) so I continued to stand there hoping they'd come back and I could get a picture. A bit later, David and his entourage come walking towards us to go back into the buildng so we all start calling to him and he waves! Well now I'm not going anywhere because the only way to get out of that building to go back to the hotel is to walk by us and I know he's going to have to come out sooner or later. Eventually, he makes his way out of the building (again with the entourage) and when we start cheering HE COMES RIGHT OVER TO US!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The lady next to me tells him her daughter is going to die because she got to take a picture with him. He laughs and says, "I don't want her to die"...so cute!

He then turns to me and I shake his hand and congratulate him on winning. He looks me right in the eyes, smiles, and says "thank you so much"! OMG his hand was so soft and his smile is so beautiful. He was wearing a white button down shirt with some kind of silver thread design on the shoulders with the sleeves rolled up. Even more gorgeous in person. I swear that man has star potential and charisma oozing off him. He was so nice to everyone - lots of smiling and he stopped to talk to everyone - he looked a bit overwhelmed but definitely seemed to be touched by all the attention. He took lots of pictures with people and signed whatever was put in front of him. Security finally had to put a stop to all of the requests for time because he had to go but I swear it looked to me like he would have stayed out there all day if he could.

I really enjoyed reading your post. What an exciting day it must have been for you to be able to see Dc and shake his hand. Did you get an autograph? His response to one of the ladies, "I don't want her to die"; is just so cute, funny, & witty. His skill in public relation is just outstanding and seems to just flow naturallly; which I think would aid him to go so much further in life. Thanks for the pics attachment, they're really good.

Since when does David have an entourage??

I'm thinking probably since he won the show.

The bodyguard dude has been with him since he was on the show. But I would imagine he would have to have his publicist and assistant with him along with bodyguard dude at all times during his appearances. He's a busy busy man and he can't possibly keep up with it all himself.

I'm on him... I mean it... the mission that is! LOL

There was talk about this in one of the interview articles a while back (Juliet?). The person mentioned that his entourage is actually rather small and very necessary because everyone wants a piece of him.

Aww you guys are so great. You know, I totally missed the fact that he shaved! LOL!

As for what he smells like...honestly, it was so hot out that I just hoped I didn't look like a big sweaty mess to him. I really didn't smell anything (good or bad) but I'm guessing he wasn't wearing cologne because my sensitive nose didn't pick up any scent. Besides, I was too busy wondering whether it was the right time to ask about the possibility of a re-release of AH...I spent so much time trying to get the question out that I missed the opportunity to actually ask it.
