Dear David,

You often seem like you know who you are, but at times you seem to be slipping away a bit. There are so many forces pulling at you to be someone that other people want you to be that staying centered is going to be a challenge. I know this is a worry to you; you have often said that your friends and family will keep you from getting too caught up in everything, but really only you can do that. Sometimes it seems like a lonely and uphill task. Not only do people want you to produce for them, but they want you to perfectly reflect their projections onto you back to them. Because of the intimacy of your performances we think we know all about you. What we really do know is that you have the same emotions that we all have and that you are often willing to connect with us on a deeper level. However, the rest is just projections of needs, wants, and fantasies onto you. You are only you.

I admire the intellect that seems to have led you on your journey to where you are, and I deeply appreciate the moments where you have allowed yourself to be open with the audience. I wish you a real relationship with yourself, and that you continue to fight for authenticity, and to figure out a way to sing "Magic rainbow" with spirit and authenticity. In every person that ridicules AI and the cheesy song there is an envy of the position you have earned.
