i think one of the reasons there is some grumbling among us is because VERY SOON were not gonna be getting our "cookie fix" regularly. he's gonna be finished doing his PR performances. he's goin on the road. yeah, some of us........you....were lucky enough to get tickets and will hopefully report back with all the fabulous details, but we're not gonna have him in our homes on our tv's with new and fresh interviews weekly. i'm gonna miss him so much.
i know we all have different opinions about whats proper and not proper to talk about. but we just all need to remember why we are all here.....together........cause we are all desperately in love with this wonderful, wonderful, smart, beautiful, musical magician (i borrowed that phrase, but it suits him so well.) there are less and less postings all the time. i spent 5 hours going through ALL the pages of pictures last night. then i couldn't sleep.

And here I thought that everyone must be on the rag or something!

I definitely second that! There seems to be a lot of bickering and negativity among us lately!

I've also noticed that we seem kind of divided.
Some of us only wanna talk about what he's doing while others want to be in fangirl mode.
I think on some topics it clashes a bit!
Lets all just remember that no matter what we think about our man he's still our man! Even if our opinions differ!
Lets all have fun.
And I think we're going to see a lot of excitement with the tour.
We'll be flooded with photos and such!

Well said. Sometimes we just have to agree to disagree because everyone has their own opinions. I've also noticed how we're sometimes divided but luckily there is always enough great threads to suit everyone And even when we are divided there is still one thing that unites us - David Cook. So here's to forgetting negative stuff and just having fun again...

I don't think we're acting any differently than we all did when we were 12! Girls can only get along completely for so long and then their individuality and need to control takes hold.

WE are ALL very intense people, (have to be to be a David fan) and the intensity of our beings just naturally tries to become the dominant factor in anything, this board being no exception!

Take a look at the profiles of those who complain about other's posts. The people who do that are the alpha females, ones who carry the ball, so to speak.

Not everyone shares the same thinking here. I for one, am thankful for that! It would be a really boring site if we all just parroted one another!

I don't know how to respond to this. I am sort of on the fence so to speak. Bickering is never a good thing however I believe there are certain things that should not be dicsussed and I try to avoid those posts. If we all truly care about David then we need to respect his wishes and the wishes of his family at any cost. HOWEVER, certain negativity can turn this board from a friendly board to one where people are afraid to share their views and opinions (and I am VERY opinionated at times) . So what should we do? I personally am not here to be anyones mama. We have rules posted about what is appropriate and what is not and I think we are all mature enough to read this and abide by those rules. To the fangirls....MORE POWER TO YA lol! David is a major hottie and if you wanna fantasize about him then go right ahead that's your right.

I agree. I find myslef a bit edgy when I haven't checked in here enough. I don't want this to EVER end. I do feel like I'm twelve again, my friend's think I've really lost it this time. I enjoy all these posts here so much. Especially ones where we have to think of DC things, like lyrics or favorite moments or finish the sentence. That's what will keep things fresh & fun here. With all the negativity there is in the world today; it is so heart warming to have David come into our lives and to see the whole world embrace him is so AWESOME.

I too have met wonderful people on this board and I look forward to a long relationship as we ride with David on his journey.

I tend to stay away from drama.. I'm here for one reason, well, two reasons. One is because of the amazing David Cook and the other is because I've met some incredibly awesome friends here.

My advice.. stay away from those that tend to cause drama.. this board is amazing and I, for one, intend on keeping it that way!!

yeah, we're all different from each other.. sometimes to argue a bit is good so as not to make this forum boring..

you cant expect that eacha nd everyone of us will share the same point of view, but bottom line is no matter how different we are from each other we share the same love and appreciation for DC..

Let's have healthy conversation and decent arguments,, we're not here to prove who is the biggest fan or whatever.. let's not be annoyingly obsessed and please bear in mind that we do not own david.. we're here to support him and not interfere with his private life.. let's always observe tact and everything will be fine..

hmm...i must have been completely out of the loop because i didn't realize there was any bickering going on. but then again, i was once on a messageboard that was way over the op critical of everyone. i guess, it's normal to me.

but what MySonsASoldier said is true, we are all intense people and with that not everyone could get along. i guess, the best way not to make a commotion in this situation is just by letting go, opinions are great but don't ridicule other opinions just cause they are the opposite of yours. we all need to learn some give and take, then, good relationships can be maintained.
