Sadly I don't. None of my family likes David Cook that much. My friends barely like him. So I know I have you guys, but othewise I don't have any no else to share it with. It is kind of sad

There is ONE person at work who knows that I am sort of obsessed - she doesn't know to what extent, though! But no, I don't share my obsession with anyone else other than you guys here (you lucky souls!).

None sadly. I only have you guys with me and besides that I am totally alone. lol

I pretty much share the Cookie love with basically just you guys here. My hubby isn't into David anymore (though he respects David's talent, he's not happy that I love more than just the music), and my friends think I'm a bit wacked.

I am always parading how great david cook is around the house though!

ahha. me 2. so know my family thinks I am out of wack.. but the great thing is that my b-day is in 3 days, and I already know that I am getting to go to the concert for my birthday, but I said something about David Cook and my mom said, " that reminds me, I have a suprise present for you on your birthday." So so, that means it could be something with David Cook!!!! Excited!

My best friend likes him, but not in an obsessive way. She just thinks he was the best on Idol. And one of my other friends *thanks to me* likes him, but definitely not to the degree that I do. Same with my mom.
I'm not alone in thinking he's a good singer, but I am alone in obessing and thinking he's absolutely beautiful.

Well let's see. I can't talk about him with my friends because a) one doesn't even care for American Idol anymore, my one friend who does watch it was rooting for Archie, and c)I was not really sure about my other friends ever liking American Idol in the first place. Which really annoys me a bit at times, but oh well, who needs their opinions anyway, when all you people are here! BUT.. I can talk about my love for him with my mom(though at times she thinks I am going a bit too far with this obsession) as well as my sister( who kind of thinks the same thing lol). I also can talk about him to my relatives, like my cousin, aunt, and uncle who were all rooting for him, as well as my mom's friend. Phew.. okay well that was a little bit more than I thought. Glad I could spread some of the David lovin around.

I'm lucky. I have my 11 year old, who is( I can see how the Archie fans may get) always screaming and squealing about something related to DC. ( she also has pictures of him everywhere. She says he does everything perfect and has the most beautiful voice she has ever heard). My gorgeous 21 year old, who is determined to meet him, and refuses to get on this site because she believes in only "positive" energy being sent his way. And then there is me. A Cougar who loves him, and is constantly on this site looking for DC news. We talk about him constantly my husband thinks we're nuts, but for the past month I haven't bugged him about playing X-Box, so guess what? He likes DC too, and says he is the only idol that can sing. ( I don't know if he knows any other idols. We like that he tells us that anyway.) This is a lot of fun for us girls here. DC love fest for sure.

Haha. Yes that is for sure. That is why I come on here like everyday. I would try to talk with my friends about him, but they probably wouldn't want to be bothered because they are just that way and simply do not understand. But yes I certainly do not care what anyone thinks.

I am sooo in the closet about this obsession. My hubby was rooting for him on AI because he thought he was truly the better musician and performer (right on!) However, it would probably crush him if he knew how much time I spent on the computer looking at videos and articles. Since I am well into cougar-age, I think all my friends would think I'm nuts. So I remain happily in the closet. I can't wait until he starts releasing records and his songs are all over the place. Then I can say "I knew he was fabulous way back when."

I have shared my DC obsession with my 31 year old daughter. She thinks I am nuts for having a celebrity crush like I do. I must say, I think I am kind of crazy, too! I never thought that as an adult that I would have fallen soooo overboard for a celebrity. I thought I was way beyond that! But here I am, basking in the warmth that is our one and only DC!!! I am soooo Cookified, I can hardly stand it!

some of my friends are on board wth me...............well they were big fans of davids when idol was still on, i think there is a distinct possibility that they are getting a little sick of THE ONLY THING I TALK ABOUT ANYMORE but they haven't really come out and said anything yet. i listen to david as much of the day as possible with my mp3 player at work. one of my coworkers (a male) asked me just the other day what i was listening to and i just looked at him like "you already know." and his response was, "that's sad." well, i didn't have a brilliant comeback so i just got up and left the room. f**k him and the horse he rode in on. and i live by myself so i can spend as much time as i want here. just because my son's 39th birthday is today doesn't make it sad .......does it? NO IT DOESN'T. i don't care what anyone of them thinks. i enjoy this, like i talked about in one of the other threads, my last obsession was prince. i'm due for another one. and his name is david cook.

I'm lucky. My family are all pretty much David fans. My mom, stepdad, brother, aunt, cousin, even grandmother...they all like him. (Well, my grandmother only saw the last couple episodes but she loved his performance of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face." And she's glad he won.) My mom and brother will be with me at the concert (stepdad is driving!). Even my dad knows we're going to Louisiana and who I'm going specifically to see and he thinks it's cool. Of course they (mostly Mom) know that I'm crazy about him - that I have his music on my MP3 player, including his pre-AI stuff, and burned to CDs and I belong to this site and I download clips, etc. My mom knows I'm a Word Nerd and what that means. But whenever I talk to them about David, I try not to go overboard, LOL! I don't want to annoy them and turn them anti-David before his CD comes out (I don't think that'll happen). They can probably tell I *really* love him just by the way I can tell them things about him they didn't know or the enthusiasm I have when we do talk.

My friends and coworkers don't know the full extent of my fandom either - but what they do know, they think it's cute. I know they aren't big fans like me (us), so I try to keep the gushing to a minimum (partly to avoid merciless teasing, and partly because it's more fun to act silly with other people who feel the same anyway).

I know the feel, I've tried sharing with my husband, but it's like trying to speak to a brickwall with a bad attitude, sometimes he just flat our ignored me or sighed, got up and walked out of the room, so now I've given up all together. My friend listens and it really looks like she's interested, but who knows, maybe she's just doing it not to hurt my feelings .....

I'm lucky to have my sister to share my David Cook obsession with.
It is great to have someone (other then you of course) to talk to about david and that this someone is sharing the same obsession.
