Hi all,

My almost seven year old son wants to take piano lessons. I don't own a piano so I was thinking of buying him a keyboard but I have no idea what would be the best type to get. I am willing to spend about $300 or so, depending on the quality - I think it is something he will stick with.

Can anyone give me some ideas or recommendations as to what to buy?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you

For a starter keyboard, I would go with a small one to learn, and as he get more experienced then go with a larger keyboard. I would not go for all the different modes as of yet until he has mastered the theory, or pedagogy, as the experts would call it.
