Full Version: A Disturbing Concert Dream
David Cook > David Cook > All About David Cook
Scott
I had a dream about the upcoming AI concert and when I woke up I was both disturbed and amused. It was the first duet of the evening. Cookie and Carly came out together and sang "Don't Go Breaking My Heart," the 70s Elton John/Kiki Dee hit (later covered in the 90s by Elton John & RuPaul). Very bizarre. Then I'm in the shower thinking about it and started wondering how David might make it work (guiding Carly all the way of course) and how interesting it could be. Maybe not so badl! After all, this is the musical genius who covered Michael Jackson and made it, arguably, the very best performance all season!

So then I turn off the shower, which was drowning out my little bathroom radio... and what was KBIG 104 playing? You guessed, Magic Rainbow! Caught it right at the beginning too. So now I'm in a great mood (especially when the DJ says, "and that was David Cook... up next, bla bla..."). I do love that little sappy song. You know, that magic rainbow lyric only comes once, it comes early (maybe :30 seconds in?), and it goes quickly!

*giggles* what a start to your day! I'm still trying to picture that "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" duet.

lol. Scott, maybe you were still hoping they might do Barracuda? I had a dream last night too that I was at the AI concert except it was in a high school gym - very bizarre venue! It was so small that the performers (David!) could get really close to everyone so it was great. He actually came up to me during the concert and whisked me away! Needless to say I overslept today and got to work about 20 minutes later than usual. But it was worth it!

This made me giggle! And after the day...scratch that, make it WEEK I've had, I so needed that.

Ya'know, Scott, I can visualise both Cookie and Carly singing that song, and re-arranging it to make it sound more emotional, rather than cheesy. smile.gif
