Is anyone else tired of people telling you that you're obsessed with DC, especially after you try so hard not to say anything about him for hours and finally when you say something as simple as "I saw this picture of David yesterday, it's new and was really cute!" they're just like "Ugh, do you ever stop thinking about him?!"
Maybe it's just my friends, and I hate it! I mean, sheesh! I'll admit that I have a bit of an
extreme adoration for the man, but that doesn't mean I want others to point it out!

omg, my family and friends are so annoying about that. Sometimes, they'll act like they care and have a whole conversation about David with me. Then the next time I bring him up they get all irate. It makes no sense.

I know! It's like when
they want to bring him up first in conversation, it's FINE to talk about him. Then when you just say his name they're all like "Gosh! Shut up!"

So sorry I messed up. What I was saying was that my family gives me such a hard time if I try to talk about David. They just don"t understand! Sometimes we just need to talk about him or we will just scream!!!!!!

I guess it must just be hard for them to grasp our Cookie obsession. If you don't love him like we do, you just can't understand. However, that doesn't make their it any less annoying.

My family does that same thing with just about everything.. like I'll say something about a celebrity or some kid at school (and a lot of the time it's not even like a big long story, it's just a short little thing) and my brother or my sister will immediately say, "Nobody cares!" When they tell me things I don't care about all the time and I listen to them. So they do the same with David, but then it's even worse because then it's David that they're rolling their eyes at.

oh i have this exact same problem. my family is ready to have me locked up in some sort of institution, and none of my friends are into cookie as much as me. i have a few friends who like his music, and my best friend thinks he's "bangable"(i'm quoting her on that one, of course i agree!) so now i just need to get her into his music. i just have to talk about him sometimes or i will go crazy but every time i bring him up my mom just tells me i have a problem and walks away! i just want to be like "you know, cook is amazing, and i could be obsessed with worse things." like drugs or something. they just don't understand.
ok, thanks for listening to my rant. i just had to vent because obviously, i have no one to talk to about this.

You can rant all you like.

We're all on the same level here.

I pretty much know who to discuss David with and who NOT to discuss him with. My friends know I adore him, so they are cool if I do say something about him. I may get an eye roll (to which they get the middle finger!), but they are generally pretty decent about my "fangirlness" towards him!

I know exactly how you feel. It drives me mad when people ask who David cook is and when i start saying he won AI recently you can see them immediately tune out like he's some kind of reality waana be when the reason i grew to love him so much is 'cause of the music he has produced independently before AI (of course he's also incredibly hot but if the music wasn't there he wouldn't have the same appeal) and som people don't seem to want to look past the AI stigma!!
That was a bit of a rant!! but it's good to vent to someone who understands!!

I don't bring it up so I don't discuss it unless it is discussed with me first. Also, since I'm not obsessed with the man....just really enjoy great music and he happens to be a great talent, I guess I don't come off that way. I like quite a few musicians and he certainly is on the list. I would ignore anyone who doesn't take stock in the AI machine. That's to be expected. It has even taken the music industry to warm up to it and not everyone has taken to it even now. As my dad always said, "To each his own."

But I recently found somebody in one of classes who knows who he is, I felt so happy
