We are a 'bit' far away here, no idol tour

well, i got really excited because i thought they might be within 25 miles of me on their way from kansas city to green bay. there is even a truck stop kinda out in the boondocks that would be a good place for them to stop where they would figure they wouldn't be bombarded with fans, but unfortunately when i got on mapquest it turns out thats not gonna happen. damn.

they are coming to kc for two nights. i'm not going, but i'm hoping i see them! especially since dc is from here, i think i heard him say something in an interview about going out with friends when they are in town so maybe i will run into him. i hope!! after he won idol, he came home for a while and was at a club like 5 minutes from my house!

Yeah, I'm in KC too, but I won't be at the concert. (whichreallysucksbutwanttospendthemoneyonDCssolotour)

I have no doubt this area will know when they are getting close! The whole metro area will be on a "Cook out!"


I think if I saw him here in town, I wouldn't have the guts to go over to him...it's that whole "feel bad for interupting his personal life" thing. I'm kind of spineless when it comes to that!

i was also saving the money for the solo tour. i want seats as close as possible. and i get what you mean about interrupting his personal life. i feel the same way.

Yeah, besides...I wouldn't want to drool on his KC Strip steak. I mean...that'd be just rude!

I just want July 29th to get here...I'm not really nervous, just excited and impatient waiting to see him!

haha very true! i'd just feel awkward going up to him when he's with all of his friends. it's kind of intimidating to me. plus, he would probably wouldn't be too happy. of course he wouldn't show his displeasure because he's just that sweet but i'm pretty sure he doesn't want people bothering him when he's eating dinner or something

I'm pretty sure they're here acutally. Judging by the photos of the buses... they should be right down the street.
AND IT'S KILLING ME.

There's no tour stop anywhere in Alabama, so if the buses won't come to me, I'm going to them in Bossier City, Louisiana!

Now, if I can just manage not to die from the anticipation before August 26 gets here...

I'm in northern Indiana so around July 22nd I'll be about 3 hours away until I get to my sisters house in Indy. Thats the show I'm going to so I will be breathing the same air as Cookie omg
When they're in Evansville I'll at least be in the same state.
And then when they're in Fort Wayne I'll be even closer than the Indy show. Sadly I won't be at that show though

I'm right there with you. And I ABSOLUTELY do NOT do this kind of thing. I got off the 101 at Bell today on my way home from work, and actually considered staying on until Glendale Ave and driving by the arena to see if anything was happening yet. This is so not my style...I don't get it. If given the chance, I would love to have a convo with him. I'm not usually one who will go up to celebrities, but damn if this guy hasn't gotten to me. I do have to say though I won't approach him if he's on personal time. I have a friend in the industry and have seen his personal space invaded on way too many occasions. However, if the opportunity presents itself at the right time, I would like a chance to say "thank you" to David. Gahh, I'm too old for this crap. What the hell is wrong with me?

I live in Baltimore and the 1st Mariner Arena (where the show is being held) is only about a mile from my apartment. It's not until August but the thought is already freaking me out
