Haha!
My mom (who is a lot older than you, btw) has admitted to me that she loves him too, and asks me to tell her when he's on tv and all. I burned a CD of Analog Heart for her and she's enjoying it. But I am SURE her crush isn't as obsessive or all-consuming as mine! I don't talk about him much with her, or at least try not to overdo it...she knows I like him but she probably has no clue how much! I think she would start to think I was having marital troubles or something, lol!
My son (he's 13) just today saw a page up on my laptop and said "you are so obsessed with this David Cook guy, it's sick!" "And his music sucks!" Niiiiiiiiice. So you're lucky your daughter understands! But I guess when my kids are adults they won't be so embarrassed by me anymore! Hopefully.
Anyway it's a good thing you're going wth your daughter and not your husband, because how could you possibly talk to him about it? lol. I'm going with my best friend, her daughter, and my 3 daughters. Kind of an Idol tradition for us. They all know about my crush but I try to keep it as cool as possible around the kids and not mention him a billion times a day (just a million!). However I think it will be hard to hide my true feelings for him if I meet him (please God), as I will probably stupidly start crying, or at least very badly shaking.
I love hearing you describe your relationship with your daughter and I hope that's the way I am with my daughters when they grow up.

I'm sure you will have a great time with her.
And no way would my husband ever want to go...he has never even showed any interest in watching the show, and as a matter of fact gets quite annoyed when it's on and tells us to turn it down. He would probably rather go to the dentist or something. Thank goodness though, because I would never want to go with him!!!!!

That's cute about your mom liking DC, too! I burned a CD for my car to take Analog Heart with me plus some Axium tracks. I also have his live AI and studio versions on another CD. Of course my iPod has a DC playlist! I have got it sooo bad, but his voice casts a spell on me! He is amazing vocally!
I'm glad my daughter helps to feed my fantasy and not shoot it down! She also knows how much I love her dad, so this is harmless. But she shamelessly teases me about it, too! When she came to visit a couple weeks ago, my People mag was out. My husband, daughter and I were in the living room and she opens it up to the David article where he is looking in the mirror. She shields it from my husband and makes a face at me. I got this s**t eating grin on my face and couldn't wipe that smile off of my face

! I had to leave the room, and I asked her if she was going to out me! She said no, she's just having fun with me! My daughter is a hoot, all personality, and we have the best time together. I really hope you do have that kind of relationship with your girls, because it is the best! My daughter also has two daughters and the bond extends to them, too. They are the best! In fact, that is our little saying together. They always come up to me and say, "Grandma Liza, you're the best"! Nothing like hearing those little voices say stuff like that! (They are 5 & 7).
So, now there are six days left till the concert here in Vegas. I am beside myself! I enjoyed this entire season from the first show, so I really got hooked. And I really do love all these kids. They have a feeling like a big family, and I think that is part of what I really loved about it. I think it's going to be a great concert, but I am also looking forward to a solo DC concert. I will get the best tickets that I can for that!
