i love, love, LOVE the boston red sox. who else here is a fan?

I could go on and on! I'm not from Boston but my parents brought my brother and me up to love the Red Sox. I did go to college in Boston (Boston University, right by Fenway) and was there in 2004 for the amazingness!

My word nerd title is "Red Sox Lovin' Word Nerd"

So yeah, I could talk all day but I have to go finish baking cupcakes!

Funny story, one of my best friends who I went to college with was a Yankees fan forever (her family still is), and then she started dating her boyfriend (Now fiancee) and he's a Red Sox fan. Needless to say, she's been brought to the dark side and she has a thing for Jonathan Papelbon!

That's awesome! I've found New York fans can be easily swayed sometimes. My bf is a Mets fan (so we both dislike the Yankees) but he's loves the Red Sox now (even wears a Red Sox hat, shirt, jersey...and we go to a couple games a year). It's great! Also, my roommate in college was from CT and her family was sort of Yankees fans. It didn't take long for me to turn her into a Red Sox fan!

Red Sox beat the Yankees last night and they beat them today too!!! Yay! Glad to see that they're kicking some Yankee ass.

Oh and I just have to share this with y'all -- I am watching the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular (we get it locally about an hour before it goes national) and the Pops just played the Dropkick Murphy's - I'm Shipping Up to Boston - complete with Irish Dancers. Only thing missing was Papelbon doing his little jig. *smirk* I just thought that was too cool!
