Full Version: How DC is STILL affecting my life
David Cook > David Cook > All About David Cook

My hubby & I were at the Indians game in Cleveland last night. We decided to park in another area, farther from the park but cheaper. When we were arriving back at our car in the lot I looked up there we were right in front of the Wolstein Center, (I hadn't noticed when we arrived there) I turned and shouted out loud, OMG, this is where I will see David Cook!!! My husband just rolled his eyes and a few people looked at me like I had 2 heads. I kept looking around wondering how I was going plan my strategy for when the bus arrives!

I was shopping for clothes for my 2 year old son and I found this tee shirt that said "Happiness is a cookie in both hands" I started laughing so hard! My kids thought I was off my rocker and I couldn't even explain why I was laughing!

My friend was telling me about the restaurants/stores by her house, and she said that there is a bakery called "Cookie Addiction"!

I made a pact with my husband to tone it down...then we were discussing a person we know irl and my husband described the person as "smug"...so i said: "worthy, arrogant, and pompous"...and there we go! i was being soooo good sleep.gif

My family keeps giving me a hard time about David Cook. My brother's friend says to me is that your new boyfriend (David Cook). My family knows I have a crush on David Cook and I keep talking about David Cook too.

Unfortunately no, the largest I could find was 18 months. But wouldn't it be funny to wear to the concert!

After my class ended, I went back up to the department to get my things. As I was making my way towards my cubicle, I heard a soft yet still audible sound coming from a not so distant cubicle. It was "Fall Back Into Me" and to be honest, I did try to look for the source of that amazing song (lol) and it happened to be playing in my colleague's laptop. I find it funny 'cause yesterday I had the same experience, only, I was walking down the corridor hearing "Searchlights" being played in a student's laptop. Okay. Seriously, David. You need to stop following me! wink.gif

it shows the power of the Cookie on each and everyone of us

for me the other day when i watched Get Smart and the main location of the whole movie was Washington D.C, so every single time D.C was mentioned (whether verbally or text wise) i would be giggling.

and i have a friend whose name is David, but he lives in another state so we don't hang as much but when he was mentioned in our conversations (between my friends and myself) i would always giggle to the point my friends thought i have a crush on him (the friend of course).

I have never posted on a chat room, etc. anywhere, but this just had to be shared with those that would understand!

Last night, I was watching the Nelson Mandela Bday Concert with my hubby. Near the end of the broadcast, Paul Rodgers and Queen performed All Right Now. I stopped dead in my tracks, as I am a 38-year old mom to three little ones I never slow down!

I listened respectfully, since Paul Rodgers is my hubby's favorite vocalist. Then, off-handedly said, I liked DC's version better. OMG! My hubby about flipped a lid. He starts giving me lots of grief. He says, "goofball, Paul Rodgers was the lead singer for Free. It is THEIR song!"

Now, I'm in the doghouse with my hubby. I can' help it. DC is on my mind NON-STOP! LOL!

Okay, I don't have a fancy signature or any photos like you guys, but I LOVE DC! I'm driving from Denver to K.C. just to see the show. WooHoo!

Doghouse be darned...i heard the original Alright Now while sitting in the iSqueeze in Brookstone (on great Brookstone speakers) a couple of weeks back and thought it sounded flat compared to the D.Cook version...starting with the "oh-oh-oh-yeah"

WOW! You do have it BAD! Denver to KC is what, about 8 hours? I've done that trip a few times driving out to Colorado from Missouri to go skiing. That's also a pretty boring drive! Not much to look at along the way.

Oh, and if you want a fancy signature, you can request one from some of the very talented people over in the "Creative Side" forum area.

Ok, I'm glad I'm not the only one that does this. tongue.gif EVERYTIME I hear a song he did on AI I have to analyize it for my hubby and show him all the ways Davd made it better. He gets a little sick of it. smile.gif

Yeah. Thank goodness I don't have to drive it alone. One of my friends and I are taking our 7-year old duaghters. We billed it to the dads as "girl bonding." laugh.gif

I'm going to request a siggy. Can't wait. Thanks for the info.

Oh, I love you guys, you have such funny stories! And I love that I'm not alone. I always associate the words david, cook, cookie, and even hello with david and I can't stop! When someone on the phone says "hello?" I reply "is it me you're looking for?", and once my friend's facebook status read "__ is baking cookies" and I completely flipped out. There's also some show on the Food Network called "Cook's Tour" and everytime I see that in the listings I think it's about David, BUT ITS NOT and I'm sad. Ah David, what have you DONE?!
