i told my mom she just had to hear David Cooks independent album, so I played her my favorite song "Let Go"
...she listened, and then said, "no"
-and i was like, " 'no' what"
and she replied " its a 'wanna-be-rockstar-song'...hes too good for that, its just not 'him' "

...really??? ok, that song is actually my personal favorite song off the CD, and i honestly dont believe its 'wanna-be-rockstar' in any way (but maybe thats just me....but i dont think so, especially on this board )..lol


but she did comment on Cook's version of "Billie Jean", saying that the way he sang the song made her want to take off her clothes.......

A wanna be rock song??? No way...that song is awesome and it can fit in the rock class very easily...Let Go is one of my favorites too!....and mom's wanting to take their clothes off...wow...not a mental image I want...hahahaha! So funny! Maybe she just needs to hear it again...really really loud!!

lol...well, i think it was loud enough, considering i played it on a new Bose sound system.....oh well

haha...Let Go rocks! My husband and I were painting the house over the weekend and I played AH while we worked...he actually commented on that song...sounded impressed! *happy dance*

Okay... I have to admit... Let Go is the one song on Analog Heart that had to grow on me. At first I didn't care for it that much, but now it's one of my favorites, except for the screech at the end. I usually just skip that part and go on to Makeover though.

That's interesting. I burned a copy of AH for my mom (after David gave us permission!) and asked her opinion after she listened to it and her favorites that she mentioned were "Silver" and "Let Go." I was a little surprised about "Let Go"! I thought it might have been the one she didn't care for. (I had warned her about the note at the end, though.)

It's is definitely NOT a wanna-be rockstar song. The only thing that's kind of annoying about the song is that screech in the end. Even my dad hates that part. But overall, it's a solid rock tune which I love very much.
