Well, I'm meeting the Idols on tour!!!!!!!!!!! (begins freaking out).....
Anyone have any idea what to expect from a Meet and Greet? (how long will I have, will I get to take my own pictures, will tour books be available ect?)
and in addition, in the event that tour books will not be available I need to gather the best pictures of the top ten and get them signed for my scrap book. So if you'd post the best pics you can find of them I'd appreciate it. Also think of the best possible items to get signed. Thankx! (continues freaking out)

Congrats on getting meet and greet passes!

Meet and greets are usually run very quickly and you line up to get their autographs. Sometimes they don't allow you to take one on one pictures because it takes up too much time and sometimes they do. I'm not sure if they pass out tour books, but I doubt it so have something for them to sign. They sometimes only allow you to get one item signed per idol. You will only have a few minutes with them. Also, I heard that they are splitting up the idols between the m & g and press where five go to the m&g and five go do press. I don't know if that's true or not. But it's something to be prepared for. Hope that helps and congrats! Have fun!

I sure hope they don't split them up!!!! I have to be there at 330 which is REALLY early considering the show starts at seven. The contest was for top ten meet and greet so hopefully it will be all of them...(David) Thankx for the info!

Meet and greets are very quick. You don't get very much time with the Idols. Taking something for them to sign is a good idea, but other years they have given out top 10 pictures when you walk in to have them sign if you don't have something.

I hope it's not too fast. all I want to do is talk to David (and get his autograph) I'll probably never get this chance again. I'd better make it count. oh, and do you know if they really give out backstage passes if you ask them? That might be a way to get more time with him. I hope my experience is even a fraction as good as lindz. (Read 3rd time really is the charm on this forum, you won't regret it) Thanks for all the help guys.

I went to a meet and greet season 5. It was SO much fun. Nobody really rushed me through; I spent plenty of time with Ace and Elliott. They weren't allowing pictures with the Idols (not sure why), but they completely allowed pictures of the Idols. However, you might be able to sneak a picture of David if the person behind you would be willing to take you camera, have it ready, so when you walk up to David, all they'd have to do is take the picture really quick. Then they couldn't stop you!

lol that is what happpened to me at a Simple Plan meet and greet once. They allowed no pictures at all but when I got to the table I said can I get a picture and they held the camera up.I think the reason they do not allow cameras is because it's time consuming.They want things to run smoothly as possible.If they took pictures for everyone then everyone wouldn't be ready on time.

CONGRATS ON WINNING! Yah, personally I don't think meet and greets are the greatest because of how they run them, but if your a big enough fan of David, which I am sure you are, otherwise you wouldn't be on here, I would make SURE that you get as much time with him as possible! For season 4, or 5, one of them, I saw a bunch of people coming out with a group picture of the idols that everyone signed, but nowadays I really don't know how they do it, except I heard that yah, they split them up. Good luck with everything though!

I read on AI forums they have a huge table you hand them what they want signed and no pictures. That really sucks:(

I read that too...I'm really hoping it's not true but even if it is I don't care because I get to meet him...no matter what.
Thanks everyone for all the info, I feel a little more prepared now, all I have left to do is find the best pictures of each of them and take them to be signed. SWEET! i'm going to try to sneak a pic with DC...hehehe
