It's so awesome that David took that kind of initiative to override the security guys and insist on meeting his fans. Everything we hear first-hand about him just keeps confirming that he is the fantastic person we know him to be!

After reading all of this I'm really considering going to my venue the day/night before since they have that day off. I hope they don't get bored with the fans and they continue to do stuff like this.

David did say on one of the interviews that he was anxious to start the tour for the purpose of meeting and thanking his support base and for the music.

It looks like it's private and we need a passwork......could we please have the password....or maybe make it public for a bit so we can see the pics?

I don't see them EVER getting tired of meeting the fans.

Thank you so much for passing on what David said to us and for being such an awesome fan. Have you been able to get any sleep? I know I would have been wired still! Ahh, I'm still freakin' out that you were able to chat with him and get lots of pictures and hugs!!!

I WANT TO SMELL HIM! That's so cute that he let you wear his hat and that he hugged you so many times and talked about Kim and Analog Heart and threw water bottles up to you and skipped and led everyone up to meet you guys and basically everything else he did!
I'm feeling some major jealousy towards you right now, but I'm so happy and excited for you! Congratulations on meeting him. I didn't think it possible, but your encounter has made me love him even more because what a sweetie he is! He's amazing to his fans.

I want to know exactly how happy I should be for him! Were you able to tell?? Could you estimate on a scale of one to ten with one being "kind of smitten" to 10 being "head over heals"? That was the best stream of consciousness I've ever experienced! Truly! I'm so excited right now! I said from the final weeks of AI that Season 7 seemed like an extraordinary group, in talent and character. On Larry King you could feel the deep friendships they've forged with one another. I'm not surprised to hear they're all great... it's just nice to get it confirmed! I don't think any past season of AI had a group like this. I'm very envious of your experience, but Lindz, you are one fan who deserved it! Heck, you worked hard for it, waiting so long!

Gosh I hope so too!! That's the show I'm going to! I'm def. going to Conseco the night before if I can get off work! They have the day before off but I'm not sure if they'll stay in the previous city or start driving to Indy right away. That's the only thing that could screw me up besides work.

And David - oh Lord - I can't even begin to talk about him. You just proved what I knew: he is the kindest, most sincere and caring person ever to exist on the planet. I thought it was amazing that he actually remembered you, and got all the others to know you as well - of course most of it comes from your efforts (the sign and the crazy screaming - from what you told and from the tight hug he gave you, I think he went there mostly to meet YOU), but still, it's hard to find that in an artist.

I KNEW this was going to be taken wrong! Yes, since DC is now my favorite writer in the world, I am curious how his life is going, as in what is currently going into his music. I could not possibly be happier for him! Seriously, I am NOT AT ALL a jealous fan not in the slightest! Honestly I think the fans that are jealous of Kim are a bit crazy. When you listen to his old music, don't you wonder what he's been through, and I mean just in general, not every detail? I mean the tone of the music and lyrics do mean something to a music fan right??? I would think that it might be more important than how he smells!

If this can't be asked without being taken wrong then, forget it, I retract my question.
