I loved the article. Now, it's so soon after AI it doesn't bother me at all right now... but in 18 months I really hope the identifier "American Idol winner..." goes away. Hopefully replaced by "multiple grammy winner David Cook..." (lol!)

I just LOVE Grace Slick - ever since I was a kid (maybe because my name is Grace too
). Before I ever heard of David Cook, I was listening to the radio and they were doing a phone interview with Gracie to talk about her paintings. They prefaced the interview by playing Somebody to Love, and actually caught her singing along as they cut in the phone connection. It was too cool. So she was sort of singing publicly.
A Rock Icon lists David Cook as one of her favorites!! AWESOME

Grace Slick and the Jefferson Airplane were one of my favorite groups growing up in the 1960's. How wonderful and random that she just mentions his name in the same company as Sting and Peter Gabriel.
That is awesome to read! David is indeed in very good company there. 
It is awesome that our David is getting recognition from many of the artists that we (ME) grew up with - the names listed already, Lionel Richie, Neal Diamond (AI).
I am sure as David's journey continues, he will be receiving more and more kudos.
