Full Version: The Idols.. are they nervous?
David Cook > David Cook > All About David Cook
Rhoda
I was just sitting here and thinking to myself how nervous they all must be. They've all performed in front of a crowd, but tonight is there first actual concert. I'm sure that each venue is different in size, but for the most part I'm sure they will have in abundance of 15,000 or more at the show tonight! That is insane. I'm so excited for David!!
annette
I would imagine there is some anxiety going on....but the electricity between David and company must be unbelievable. I cannot wait to hear the reviews (posts) here on the board after the concert. There will be alot of excitement I am sure.
engaging_quill
I had thought the same thing... it would have to be a little nerve wracking!! Hopefully, everything will go smoothly!!
DC4breakfast
Is anybody going to update us from inside the arena? Too much to ask? lol! I'm gonna 'plode for sure. I can't wait to hear about it! *dying*
annette
I am going to assume that the updates will be afterwards - I am sure all attention will be on David and company as it should be.

Because AZ is 3 hours behind us here on the east coast - it will be late before the reviews start coming in.

I know that when David+ are here in NJ - my full attention will be on the concert.
shenanigans
Where is the first concert at????

Best of luck guys!!

LOL! Too funny!

Unfortunately, it will be really late (early?) here on the east coast when the concert is done and the AZ people can tell us all about it. I know I will be frantically trying to catch up on all of the posts tomorrow morning.
Cook Crush
I'll bet they're more excited than nervous. They know these songs. They now get to perform in front of their fans instead of judges. I hope they have a great time.

I read somewhere there is going to be a live blog on MJ's
MellyBelly
I'll stay up as long as I can tonight but I will also be reading through all of the reports/pics tomorrow morning!
I can't wait! smile.gif What a great day!

Yeah I read that too on MJ's blog. Man this is EXCITING!! I'm sure the idols are nervous or more like excited nervous. Here's wishing them all well tonight!! Can't wait to hear what everyone's singing!

annie702
They'd have to be made of stone to not be nervous/excited...this is bigger than the Nokia theater, which is the biggest place most of them have performed at so far. And from linz's account, not a one of them is made of stone!

They said they're really excited about it! They told us last night and you could tell how stoked they were!!
They sounded a tiny bit nervous but overall jsut ready to get out there and make fans happy!
The venue is like 5,000 tonight I think.
I know that the Nokia theatre was 7,000 and Jobing.Com is smaller. smile.gif
They've worked very hard and they seemed ready!

I thought it was 3 hours behind us, but actually it's 2. smile.gif I used the time zone map in the yellow pages to cheat. laugh.gif I wouldn't doubt there is some nervousness going on, but I bet they are pumped. biggrin.gif

Hi Lindsey: Thanks - If you are not too tired when you get home maybe you can do some posting about tonight - I have looked forward to your posting the last few nights.

I am sure that Lisa (Blake) will do some posting as well.

Again, have a great time and give David and the gang our love.

BTW - I just pulled up the Prudential Center here in NJ for Capacity Size and for concerts - the center holds 17,500 + (I know that we are looking forward to having them here in NJ).

AZ is 3 hours back now...they don't follow daylight savings time. i was there this summer and it was killing this east coast girl to have to watch idol in that time zone! lol!
lindzluffsacookie
Ahaha. Daylight savings is a biznatch.

I just hope that any video we get (cell phone I expect) doesn't have the music drowned out by the person holding the phone screaming their brains out...

I bet they are both excited and nervous. I have a feeling it may take a few concerts to work the bugs out of the show. I hope they have a blast performing for the crowd.

Yea, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe they have something more sophisticated worked out, but they did say that the quality might be comprimised and at the time I read it I wasn't seriously thinking of listening in until all the drama with Lindz encounters. Now I feel like I have something vested and will definately listen in. Shoot, I am kicking myself for not hopping on a plane sunday when Lindz was having her second encounter. Oh well, what is supposed to happen will happen, just at another venue!!

I am interested in the "5th" song even though I am sure depending on the venue along the tour - this may change. Not sure if this will be a cookie cutter (sorry for the pun) for the next 13+ weeks.
lindzluffsacookie
Haha. We'll see! I think they're ready!
StarrySkies
I can't believe the big day is finally here!! biggrin.gif

I'm so happy for everyone who gets to see them tonight. My show is in exactly 8 weeks - I don't know how I'm going to wait that long! I'm expecting a late night for myself (nothing unusual there) waiting for reports and pics from Glendale.

I imagine all the Idols are pretty excited, getting to play in front of all the fans, but there are probably a few butterflies in the mix too. I know they'll all do fantastic, though! smile.gif
lindzluffsacookie
Heck! I'm not singing and I have butterflies!

I have to catch up about tonight - looks like there has been activity one way or another...

I will be at the Pru on the 30th and might have an extra ticket, if anyone's interested.

I can imagine David will be okay playing the large crowd, but idk about the others! lol When he came home to Blue Springs from the show, he played to over 10,000 people!

The Sprint Center (I looked it up) hold 18,000+ people! Geez!
