SO we are on vacation in Vegas and I went up to the room before my husband last night. 15 minutes later he comes running in the the door telling me they just played David Cook downstairs in the casino and it wasn't Time of My Life. It was The World I Know. I told him it must have been Collective Soul and he said it was NOT it was David Cook and trust me he would know. He's been right there with me throughout the whole season. So that song hasn't been released has it??? I thought the only song out there right now for "public boardcast" was TOML. Anybody got any answers????

OK, you've got to get to someone in hotel/casino management and find the person who knows... just plain old ask the person who's responsible for the playlist on their music... I assume it's not a satellite music service 'cause I don't think they would play it... but the casino's entertainment person may have downloaded this to his/her itunes and created a playlist. I'm very, very curious! Please keep us posted if you find anything out!!

Yes I would LOVE a full version of TWIK. Hubby said it was the American Idol version cause it was the short one. HE's also dying for a studio version. I will start asking around and see what I can find out. I'm just mad that I wasn't there to hear it. Guess I need to stay up later!!!!

Is this the same casino where they filmed "The View"? Maybe they've got dibs on the tape of the show and can play the song? Or else someone downloaded from iTunes before the show ended? If so, they have one hip dj!!!

Yeah, it has some audience applause/cheering at the beginning and end... but it was offered that final week as an audio cut, in addition to the video version... i have both versions. the audio only version doesn't have that AI music sting at the top and is, like all studio versions, a little louder. They probably played the audio version... remember it charted on Billboard's Hot 100 and on Digital Downloads in 4th place that week, behind TOML, "Dream Big," and "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For."
Speaking of "Dream Big," does anyone else think it sounds like a Journey song? I think "Dream Big" has been underrated. Cookie was so smart for picking that for final performance night.. Randy and Simon were out to lunch that night! Paula has, of course, never criticized David (she only has said she wanted more!), and I love her for that.

I love "Dream Big." Definitely underrated.

There is a local radio station here that has played the DC's stuff from AI. Of course, I haven't heard it personally because I haven't listened to radio in months. All my music is DC on Cd's and Ipod.
