I will also be at the show in Dallas. Do you all have good seats? Mine aren't great. They're to the side of the stage, but up in the nosebleed section. I haven't been able to find anything better than either, unless I want to spend hundreds of dollars, which I can't. I'm afraid we're going to have a very limited window in which to meet the idols since they have a show in Houston the night before and a show in Louisiana the next night. Too bad they won't be spending a few days in the big D.

I would love to meet him!! Are you kidding!! Do you think if we camp out at the AAC we could be lucky enough to see him? I know the buses park underground but if he knows that we are waiting out there he would probably come outside. It's worth a shot anyway, right?

I am going to the Dallas show AND the Tulsa show.

I spent big bucks on my Tulsa tickets, then ended up bidding on an auction for 4 tickets and 4 meet and greet passes for Dallas. And I won! I *MUST* meet David and the other Idols!

So I have 2 extra tickets and 2 meet and greet passes to sell, but I do not have the seat numbers yet-does anyone know what "good house seating" means??? I have a lot of money tied up-gulp!

Here is the exact wording from the auction: "Includes: 4 tickets to the American Idol Season 7 Tour on August 25th at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX, plus a meet & greet with the Idols. Exact seat location to be determined, but will be good House seating.

I got section 103 on the side of the stage which I picked! I got them a while back at ticketmaster! Are ticketmaster sold out? The American Airlines center isn't to bad I have been there for Stars games and I sat way up top. If you are on the side the nose bleed section probably won't be that bad.

I will be there as well...I had BIG plans to get there early and try to meet DC and the other Idols...so I was devastated when the tour schedule came out and I realized that the Dallas concert is on the first day back to school for us. And since I am a teacher, I really don't see my boss approving that as a personal day for me. LOL...
Ironically though, since I teach at the high school Jason Castro graduated from, I suspect we will have quite a few students who are mysteriously "absent" for at least part, if not all of the first day.
Sucks to be an "adult" sometimes...but the concert will be awesome anyway!!!

i'm going to the dallas show, too. but it totally sucks b/c it does start on the first day of school. i'm going with my friend and our parents, and i'm trying to convince both of our parents to let us.... leave early... so that we can possibly meet them. it's only the first day of school! and it'd start my senior year off in the best possible way, right? lol. and our seats kinda suck, so i really want to meet all the idols before since it'll be hard to see them from where we're sitting. but i can't wait!

Ticketmaster isn't sold out yet, atleast the last time I checked. But every time I look for new tickets they keep coming back with more tickets in the section where I already have them! So apparently all the good seats are sold out. I bought mine a month ago. I'm in section 328, but towards the front. Hopefully that's not terrible. Maybe when David goes on his solo tour I'll be able to get better seats. I hope some of us are able to meet him while he's in Dallas. Good luck ladies!

AA Center is nothing like Texas Stadium were I went for my first concert! (1991 New Kids On the Block in case you were wondering!) At Stars games I was close to section 330 and was able to see the goalie on the other side of the ice fine! I also went to Stars on Ice the But that was on a lower section so never mind! Also I hears when U2 was a couple years back cameras weren't aloud in I don't know if that was U2's doing or AA center? Must find out!

Thanks! That's good to know. Hopefully my seats are good and they'd better allow cameras! I will be so upset if they don't. I read on the AA center's website that vaguely sounded like cameras were allowed as long as they aren't the "professional" cameras with the big zoom lenses. If I have to hide a camera in my bra, I will.
That's so cool that you saw NKOTB in concert! I was also a big fan of their's. I can't imagine a concert at Texas Stadium, that place is so big! I've been to the AA center for some motocross/motorcycle thing with my husband like 4 years ago, but I have no idea what section we were in and I honestly wasn't paying that close of attention. Of course we could see everything just fine but those bikes do all their stuff on the tall ramps so that's obviously different from a concert.
We're getting closer to concert time! I'm so excited.

6 days till the Dallas concert and I haven't a clue how its done at the AA center... My friend and I are leaving work at noon and going up there in hopes to meet the idols before the show. But where to go? Does anyone have an idea of where they might set up for this? THANKS

That's a good question and I don't know the answer, but maybe somebody on here will. I would like to go early to meet them before the show, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to. Where are your seats? I'm currently in the nosebleed section, but I'm scouting several new ones that ticketmaster has released. I keep waiting and they keep getting better, so maybe by Sunday or Monday I'll get ones close to what I'm wanting.

I might be interested. My only problem is that I have a 3 year old and no sitter, so I don't think I could be out there for too long because he is not one of those patient little kids who is seen and not heard. If it wasn't for that I would be there in a heartbeat, but I would be so irritated with myself if I drug my son out there for several hours and then didn't get to meet David. But keep me informed as to anything you find out. I've read at some of the concert venues, fans were told a specific time as to when the idols would be coming out. If that was the case for Dallas, then I would definitely come at that time and stay for an hour or so. I'm hoping that there won't be all that many people out there since that's the first day of school for pretty much everyone in our area. It would be so fun to get to meet all you ladies too, especially since we live relatively close to each other. I wonder if someone were to call the AAC and just ask, would they have any answers? Probably not since it appears that no one has any clue as to what's going on, but maybe it would be worth a shot. I'll see what kind of phone numbers I can dig up and maybe try to call later today. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Justafan-Your seats sound great! I have found a few towards the back of section 10, but I was really wanting to get somewhere in the vicinity of the Mavid dance in hopes they do something awesome so I can get it on video. I keep hoping for section 12 or even in the lower level on that side of the stage.

OK, so I called the AA center and of course no one knows anything, as I predicted. The lady told me that they wouldn't be signing any autographs outside of the official meet and greet. I tried explaining to her that all the other venues have had "spontaneous" autograph sessions somewhere outside of each venue, but she just wasn't getting it. So we're back to square one as far as that goes.
On another note, I found some great seats for me and my friend so I now have 2 tickets for sale if you ladies know of anyone who might be interested. They're in the nosebleed section, but I'm willing to sell them for less than what I paid just to get some of my money back, so PM me if you or someone else is interested.

It's amazing how no one knows what is going on up there. We called AA too and they hadn't a clue. LOL! My friend Lisa and I should be there around 1:00 or 1:30, and we will be looking for any kind of sign as where to go Maybe they will know something by Saturday or Sunday... Here's to hoping

I imagine there will be lots of Jason Castro fans dying to meet him...especially since he is from here!! The AA Center can't let us all down!! Maybe she told you that because she didn't want chaos. The idols know there are always fans waiting to meet them before the show. Gosh, I'll be praying like you won't believe!!

I don't think that means that they won't be outside signing autographs, I just interpreted it as the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. These people just aren't kept informed on the goings on from concert to concert. I'm sure they will be autographing once their buses arrive, the question is where will this take place. I'm pretty sure the buses go underground at the AA center, so I have no idea where they'll set up barricades for autographs.
I'm positive that Jason Castro will want to be able to meet his local fans, it sounds like he's been one of the most consistent about coming out at previous concerts, so I'm sure he won't let Dallas down. Here's hoping that David won't either!

We went to the Dallas World Aquarium yesterday and he was not good, so I don't need a repeat performance of that in front of David, of all people!

I understand that! I have twin girls that are 4 1/2... but my husband has gladly volunteered to stay home with them instead of going to the concert... which is fine by me LOL

I'm very disappointed because I was supposed to be at the venue at 12 but my ride called me a few days ago saying she couldn't take me. Now I'm leaving at 12 tomorrow with a new ride and it's about a 5 to 6 hour drive. It was the best I could do..

Does David come out after the concert anymore and sign autographs? I saw where he doesn't and that's extremely disappointing!!!

Description:

Cellcaster = willing concert goer who volunteers to let us listen in on the concert during one or more idol sets.


The cellcaster will contact Rickey (email: rickey@rickey.org) - Rickey will give them an assignment (ie. David Cook). Right before David (for example) starts his set) the cell caster will call Rickey at the assigned cell number - the cell caster will keep the cell phone on during the set - the sound will come through rickey cell phone and through the video link that Rickey has set up. There are 150-250 people who usally log into Rickey's to hear the cellcast remotely.

It was the most incredible moment of my life!! I'll be posting in the concert thread once I have all my photos...they are on several cameras. I hope you met him too!

The concert was amazing....had to stand on my toes...but the seats were not bad! Hope yours were alright...you would have been in the section behind me. I am sorry we didn't get to hook up!! I got chased by the poptart during the intermission!! HA!
