The concert was fantastic!! It was highly entertaining and well worth the investment. That's my overall impression.

The nuts and bolts - The concert started about 25 mins late. The first 6 perform, then there is an intermission, that was way to long, about 40 mins.......then the Top 4 do their thing.

Chikeze - good, great personality, moves around on stage well, huge smile


Ramiele - very weak, needs a lot of work


Michael Johns - BLEW.ME.AWAY! He is out of this world fantastic!




Kristy Lee Cook - I didn't expect to like her, but I did. Her songs are terrific, she moves around the stage very well, she was very good.


Carly - WOW! She is a rocker, and it shows. Huge voice, amazing stage presence!


Brooke - Entertaining. She is all sunshine and light. None of her pics turned out. Boo!

Jason - He engaged the crowd, personable, having a great time. His music is not my style, but he was very good!


Syesha - Good. Her style is not for me. Personally, I don't know how she made it above MJ and Carly.


Archie - Very good, his voice is huge. He does what we saw on the show, he stands and belts ballads. Very nice kid, very sweet personality, very appreciative!


David Cook - Incredible!!! It was so good to finally see him after voting hours on end. DH and I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED Hero, that was incredible as was Billie Jean. I think opening with "Hello" was a mis-step. He needs to open with a huge rocking song.
He did say Adam's tumor had stopped growing and he learned that news today. He got a tad emotional. He said he does not even know how to thank us, the fans anymore, he is so grateful. What a guy! I can't wait for his CD!

The pictures are super. Thank you. I was wondering what everything would look like at the concert. I'm not giong to get a chance to attend any of them so I am greatful for any pictures and videos that areposted.

Although I wasn't there, I think David opening with Hello would be a nice start. I am from Nova Scotia and watch American Idol faithfully. I picked David C. from the start. We've been looking for an American Idol like him since the show began. It's like he is saying, Hello, you have found me, I'm here and I am going to make you proud that you chose me. That's my take on it anyway.

Awesome pix. I live in Phoenix but missed the show due to a previous commitment in the Bay Area. I'm so glad everyone is enjoying the pics! I've thought about the concert all day, it was amazing, spectacular, truly entertaining! About DC opening up with Hello....I've thought about this. The build up for him coming out was incredible, Archie introduces him, they do a countdown, the crowd is going nuts, he starts coming up from the middle of the stage on a platform and then the song is mellow.......see my point. I love the song, it's what made viewers take notice. I just wish it was 2nd and not first.

The camera:
Panasonic Lumix with a 10x optical zoom. It was $300 at Costco a year ago, it gets great reviews, great camera. The pics are really not that clear, but I scaled them down in Paintshop, so that is why they look better.

My seats were in the first section on the side, about 12 rows back, much better than I expected. I never choose the floor, you can't see, I always go for the first section on the side and with the stage setup, the performers walked over quite close many times.

Nice camera - bought one for my mom and dad last year for Christmas. I have an Olympus SP-560-UZ with 18x optical zoom. It's sort of new to me so I need to get comfortable with it before the show in DC mid-Aug. I'm hoping I can get some decent shots from my seat - 2 levels up and on the side near the stage. I may only get the top of David's head!
