Great write-up on LATimes.com. Rave reviews for all 10... here's an excerpt about Cookie, followed by a link to the entire article:

David Cook's set leaves little doubt whether he is truly a rock star. The singer who created so many show-stopping, take-your-breath-away moments in the Idoldome showed he could do the same before a group of 12,700. His set contained one amazing piece of news as well, as he announced he had just learned that morning that his brother’s tumor had “stopped growing.

He then broke into an extra joyous run through “My Hero,” dedicated to his brother. Throughout the season, Cook no doubt wary that it would seem a manipulative plea for sympathy, avoided making direct reference to his brother’s illness, attributing the bracelet he wore in support of cancer victims to a suffering little girl. Now, finally that he has been given some good news, he at last shared it with the audience. One can’t help feeling that he is a very rare class act, Mr. David Cook.

I am glad to hear that Adam's condition is making a turn for the better and I'm especially happy for Adam, David and the family. I will continue to pray for them and of course a full speedy recovery for Adam.

Scott, thanks a million for posting this. After seeing the videos from last night--even with the crappy sound--it is so clear that David is even greater than we all have believed in the past. And it's always nice when the press and/or the bloggers get that too. What a huge thrill to watch his star skyrocket like this.

Thanks for posting the link! I'm reading everything about the tour that I can find. And as great as it is to hear about how wonderful they all are, the best thing for me to read was that Adam's tumor has stopped growing. That's awesome news!!!
Singalong
What wonderful news about Adam's health! I am praying for the entire Cook family. Glad to hear also that the show went well in Glendale last night. No one deserves the top position on this tour more than David Cook! I knew that he had it from the first time I saw him perform on AI. Awesome job, Mr. Cook!!!

Yea, Cookie! So happy for him!

Christopher, that what always thrills me too... WE know he's a class act, but when the LA Times says it they reach plenty of people who didn't watch American Idol or only know a little about David. Great news indeed.

Yes, isn't it fantastic!?! Obviously being the winner of AI didn't wreck his rock cred as many were afraid it might!

I just had a horrible thought. Remember Hollywood week when Simon voted NO....what if either Paula or Randy had also voted no! <shudder> What an injustice that would have been! But they didn't and the world is now a brighter place!

Thanks for the article, Scott!

Scott and Christopher -- I couldn't agree more -- it's so exciting to read/hear people in the media seem to suddenly "get" DC -- even the brighter interviewers eventually catch on that this isn't just the usual new flash in the pan (the duller interviewers are just hopeless anyway). Thanks so much for sharing. And, Scott, I just wanted to say how much I appreciated your response to Lindz's post about meeting DC and company in AZ. I didn't get to reply at the time, but you were exceedingly wise as usual. Thanks guys!

I couldn't agree more.I cringe when I think he would never have been on AI. Thank God for Randy and Paula. I don't think being on AI would damage his credibility. I know Chris Daughtry didn't win (well that's another story and I dod want to get started) but look how well he has done.
