Hey girls! I am from Columbus Ohio and was planning on getting a ticket and going to the Cincinnati show by myself, but I didnt want to look like a total loner so if anyone wanted to meet up before and/or after the show. I'm a little nervous about going up there by myself, soooo.....send me a PM

A group of us DC fans would be great! We could meet at the landing. Thinking of going early to try and see them before the show...From what I have be reading, that sounds like the best idea. My friend and I will have our tween daughters, but the more the merrier...

I was thinking about going early...now with the ballgame, I'm not sure what to do.?.. And plus, I'd have my sons with me (they are not going to the concert though) It would be great to meet other DC fans!

I posted this in the other thread I am thinking sorry to say unless the game is over by 230 or 300 I highly, highly doubt they will come out with the traffic and the game letting out.Their bodyguards and the US Bank staff wouldn't want them in danger.I mean getting hit by a car or more people mobbing them since like I said the game would be letting out.I just do not see it happening. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer or anything but if there wasn't a game I would say yes they would come out but now with the game I kinda doubt it and afterwards is pretty much the same deal.Traffic and the idols having to cross and no one wants them to get hit or mobbed. That is the sucky part about US Bank. You have to hang across the street and aren't allowed near the buses therefore making it harder to meet anyone. Not saying you shouldn't go or anything but....Just don't get your hopes up.Stupid Reds Game!

Its just gonna be me and my sister. If you're game then I am too. I'm hoping to meet them before the concert and also when they're in Columbus, even tho I dont have a ticket to that one. PM me if you want to!

There's a 60% chance for rain on Wednesday. I know the show is a week away, so I hope the weather changes, but only for the better! smile.gif I can't wait.

I will be bringing my 11yr old daughter. I would love to meet up with a group. I will probably not get there until 3 or so. I hope this B ball game doesn't slow everything down. Let me know what time everyone is getting there and all that. Thanks!!!!

Everyone in Cincinnati knows that the weather changes every 15 mins. LOL! Right now, it's very hot, miserable and we are under a smog alert. I was hoping for cooler, dryer weather when the tour came to town. If I were the Idol's I would want to stay in the a/c. Hopefully with US Bank being by the river, we'll have a breeze.
kentuckywildcat
Thanks so much for ther heads up on the Reds game.

That seals it I'm waiting until Lexington to meet the buses.

See you gals at the concert. I'm coming to Cinci by myself, too and am now worried about traffic and parking. I hope the ballgame does not go into extra innings. I'll be on that highway someone mentioned 'cause I don't know any of those "backroads." sad.gif
DavidCookiemonster
Just Mapquest it and do longest route or avoid highways. That might help with the backroads.
BethRiot
I might be going to the show, I have no idea yet.
But theres like 98% chance that I'll be going.

I got my ticket for Cincinnati today. I am very excited because it is a good seat, but I am also very nervous because I am going by myself and i'll be driving from Columbus. If there is going to be a get together before the show, what time is it going to be at? I would like to meet up with some people because I don't think I have ever done something like this by myself so I'm kinda freaking out!

Plus nobody knows I'm going because they would yell at me for making the trip by myself....even though I am 25 years old! Lordy!

I could use a friend rolleyes.gif

Okay, I just heard on a local radio station today Q102 that all day Friday is free ticket day. They will be giving away meet and greet passes for the AI tour. It's WKRQ-FM; 101.9 on the dial and their call in number is 513-749-2320. Not my usual choice of stations, but what the heck! Good luck everyone!
engaging_quill
Thank you for that information!! I'll have to listen tomorrow... I definitely would not mind getting tickets for a "meet & greet"

I'll be your friend Angelsdust smile.gif haha

angelsdust
What time is everyone going to be at the venue Wednesday?

I lost my chance at Columbus cuz I was a dumb butt and I definitly want a second chance to do this...
Krista
Cincy is HARD to meet them at, they litterally have to come across the street, which they might do... honestly. because yesterday in columbus they were completely amazing about the fans. especially David Cook.

but yeah, I dunno.
US BANK ARENA, will throw you in jail if you touch their property...no joke. You have to stay across the street from the buses.
angelsdust
I guess it wouldnt hurt to stand across the street then, is there some people that wanna meet up with me and give it a shot?

Just got home from the show. Wow....that was worth every single cent spent on the tickets.
I highly recommend spending the money.
I had planned to get there early to try and see the Idols before the show, but I had to take my mom to the hospital, my bank made a huge error and drained my account of all but $2, heading to the show, my friend realized she forgot her ticket. By the time the show was about to start, my blood sugar dropped and no where in the US Bank Arena can you get packets of sugar!

But seriously, this was my first season watching Idol and my first Idol Live. I was blown away! My friend now loves, loves MJ. Hearing all of them live is incredible. They are all getting better and better with each show. And the crowd in Cincinnati....the Idols could not stop talking about how loud we were. I was impressed.

DC made a comment that he was back stage checking his email when Carly came off the stage she said, 'Wow, the people are so loud in Cincinnati!' They loved it.
Being a Cook fan, I just couldn't wait to see him live. What a gift he has. Absolutely loves what he is doing. Pure 100% performer.

I shot some video, but I wasn't close to the stage. I was center stage, but at the end of the arena. I'll have to check them out and figure out how to download them. I ran out of space on my memory card. :-(

After seeing this show, I'm getting a ticket to another show close to Cincinnati.
People...you really need to see this show. I can't say it enough.

Tonya

PS - What was the comment David C said about learning how to spell Cincinnati in school?

Edit: Nevermind, I caught it on video...he says:
'Cin cinn ati, I learned that song in elementary school, so I'd know how to spell this place. Seems to have served me well.'

I wasn't able to get there early. I know there were quite a few who posted that they were going to get there early, but I haven't heard anything.

I was just watching video of the last group medley and at the show last night, I couldn't tell during the show what DC did with MJ on the ramp. All I know if that DC went down on one knee. OMG, the video is so funny. They both went down, DC went down on one knee and started rubbing his hands together and MJ twirled up like a genie in the bottle. I bet they are on the bus thinking up what goofy stuff they can do on stage. MJ also picked up Christy Lee and carried her from the center stairs to the other set. I just think they had a really good time last night. They absolutely loved the crowd. And when MJ said that we were louder than Utah....the place went nuts.
DavidCookiemonster
where are the videos?? Someone please post!

He came out before the show and after the show...I'm still typing up my review but I got a little bit too much cookie last night, then again, I guess you could never have enough....LOL!

Loved the show! Billie Jean was unbelievable! I actually got to meet all of the Idols after the show except Brooke because she ran out of time before she got to us. They are all really sweet and very attractive up close. Carly and Jason are strikingly beautiful. David came out last and said they were pressed for time. He was very rushed but very sweet. He started coming toward us, then suddenly turned around to get his bodyguard. I honestly think he's a little freaked right now. Anyway, I told him I was one of his Word Nerds and would he please sign muy shirt. He looked at me, smiled, and said, "Awesome!". Then he signed my shirt RIGHT ABOVE MY HEART! He is absolutely gorgeous! Michael Johns signed my sister-in-law's hand and said, "I've never signed skin before. Thank you!". We had a blast!

Signing my shirt

Lucky girl!
