Did anyone get to meet or talk to them? Did anyone go backstage? Did anyone wait on the buses? Im dying to know! Thanks!

LOL...yup, that's what I'm asking. were there any ops on the actual day of the show. i read an article in the latimes mentioning that the local poptarts winners got a meet and greet...but it sounded like they were cattle-herded through the process. LOL.

did any of you guys have any luck in the daytime before the concert?
cause that's when i plan on going cause my mom's not too into taking me afterwards.

I think our problem was that not too many (or so it seemed) people on these boards actually went to this show..so there's nobody but Lindz to tell us about meeting experiences.

from this site at least BLake, sesot, Lindz, and getshorty went to this show. (that's a 25% meet rate...LOL!) i'm sure there were more of us there.

We got to meet Kristy Lee Cook & get pics & autographs. I have to do this as fast as possible cause I'm at work but I PROMISE I will come back tonight after I get home and give everybody ALL of the details..
We went early to wait by the busses, we knew where the busses were gonna be parked so we knew which area was the best to wait by. I got there at about 12:00-12:30pm & there was about 10 other people there waiting already.. We did get to see EVERYBODY get off the busses and walk inside the arena.. one by one.. and they all waved & said Hi but we were kinda far away.. See the parking at Jobing.com isn't quite underground but picture a big loading dock type of area if you will.. there was an area up at ground level where we could look directly down and see all the busses and the idols easily.. It was maybe 50 feet (give or take, I'm guessing) above the area where they walked by. So it was at a distance, but we did get to see them..
Anyways.. about 15-20 minutes after they arrived Kristy came out of one of the doors we were standing by, she said she wanted to come out and thank all of us for being there & supporting everybody. And she gave us all gift cards to what I think is some Christian online book store or something.. I'm not positive what it is yet. I was praying that they were meet & greet passes but sadly no.. Then she took pics with all of us and she signed misc. stuff (she signed my shirt!). It was AWESOME, she is SOOOO sweet and beautiful!! (She didn't even have hair & makeup done yet) Oh and she's taller than I thought.. Then again I'm only 5'4".... I have pictures and I'll try my best to get them all on here later.. I have pics of some of the other idols walking by.. I have a couple good ones of Jason.. and Michael.. oh and Archie's Dad waved & said Hi to us too..LoL.. the whole day was just... AWESOME!

Cookie's my #1 of course.. I LOVE him more than anybody.. even more after last night and I didn't even know that was possible. But I really really am a big fan of everybody.. I think they're all great. I'm also a huge Country fan so I guess that's why I like Kristy so much.. but I do feel kinda bad because I didn't have anything for her to autograph so I had her sign my David Cook shirt..

Yea, catching up might give you information overload!! Living it with lindz was excitement enough, You are going to burst!!!


DC 4 breakfast, that was funny. I cannot imagine having not been invovled all weekend and then trying to read all that stuff. it gave me heart attaks just the times, i had to go to sleep and then get caught up in the morning. i couldn't read fast enough. i printed out so i could read what i might have skipped over on the plane tomorrow!!!!!



I read on the LA Times blog, which is somewhere in this site, that there was a meet and greet for Pop Tarts promotion winners. but i haven't even read the whole thing yet.

I'm so determined to meet them and my niece and nephew are begging me to take them with me. They don't have tickets but I told them about Lindz so now they want to try and meet David the night before. They even drew pictures of him to try and give him! I'll be so crushed if I can't make their cute little kid dreams come true! (although we all want to meet them regardless of age lol!)

You're right, this is EXACTLY what you have to do if you know they might possibly be there the day before.. heck start checking out your venue NOW to try & find out where the busses park.. So that you will know exactly where to go.. That's what all the Glendale people did. And then if they just so happen to be there doing a rehearsal or something you'll know where to wait.. Who knows you might get lucky! But be prepared to wait around for a looooong time.. even if it's hours you'll be kicking yourself later if you left & missed something.. (that happened to me)..

I was also at the concert, but I didn't get a chance to meet them {my own fault really, yesterday was... awful}... I'm glad someone else did though! I ran into some people that lurk this board, but don't actually post, they were really nice {the girl I sat next to, not so much...}

One thing I learned: leave your house earlier than you think you should... Parking was... ridiculously hideous. The people need to learn how to direct, either that, or keep hydrated because I swear one of the people directing was hallucinating. I didn't get a chance to meet anyone before hand either Ah well. The show was amazing. I think I'm going to have to write up a full report when I have time.

Oh, and another random bit of advice: don't forget cameras, hair-ties, or water for the hour drive... Yeah, it was an odd day. The air conditioner broke at my house at eight, so I basically ran out, leaving everything on my desk... Went to movie {which ended up starting an hour later than my friend thought} then sped my way down the 101 in rush hour traffic ><

I think the concert was the only thing that saved my day yesterday... I really do. I do have to say, side stage seats ROCK MY SOCKS! The stage is actually designed pretty well, the only bad seats were probably the floor in the back {if your short like me, anyway}.

Oh I'm prepared to wait!! I'm just worried about my friend I'm going with! She wasn't huge on this season and when I brought it up to her all I could get out of her was a measly "we'll see". Gahh she loves to torture me!

I really do need to start harassing my venue though lol. I've heard that the buses park underground but it can't hurt to double check!

Ah! Make your friend drive herself so you can stay if you want and she can go home.. LoL..

I can't!! We live 3 hours away and are staying at my sisters house!

I would say shoot for about 11:00-11:30 maybe even earlier so that in case there's a LOT of other people there trying to do the same thing you're doing you can be closer than them.. they showed up around 12:00-12:30..

Welll that sucks! My seats are on the floor....in the back.....by the soundboard. I have been bummed about this already, but now I am really bummed. I am hopeful the sound will still be good and I am planning on seeing DC again several times in my life when he headlines his own tours, so hopefully next time my seats will be better!

Do the security people let anyone move up toward the stage to take pictures???

Yes! As far as I know security didn't even try to stop anybody (if they were already in a floor seat that is).... It's even easier to move up if you have an aisle seat! I got to be in the VERY front.. up against the railing the whole time DC was performing!!! If he tried hard enough he could've probably touched my hand! I actually only went up to snap pics but then everybody started crowding in and I was stuck there... which was perfectly fine by me... it was a WONDERFUL place to be stuck... while he was performing I was so close you could actually see some spit fly out while he was singing!!!... LMAO...

I forgot to add one thing... MOVE UP TO THE FRONT BEFORE ARCHIE EVEN FINISHES SINGING.. cause as soon as everybody sees Cook they all start heading towards the front... this was the only way that I was able to get so close.. I went up before Archie finished..

I wasn't at the concert. BLake sent me text messages to keep everyone updated. She called me when David came on, so I could listen in on his performances.

Dude I didn't even think of trying to move up! Dur dur dur!! I'm such a goody goody and don't want to get in trouble haha! But for Cookie eff that!
Yippee that makes me happy though!! I have floor seats and I think my seats are 3 and 4 so I AM GOLDEN woo hoo!! I'm def. wiggling my way up there. Hopefully I can get some good videos and pictures from the Indy show!

I got to meet the idols in Glendale! I got there super early and waited for their bus to drive in. They were all so nice and super excited! Nervous too, I'm sure! I'll upload the pictures later..but it truly was an amazing performance..especially from David C!!

Yes. All 10. Except i do have to say that the guys spent more time with the signing and picture signing then the girls. The girls just floated on by
