yeah i'm pretty much corrupt. it's impossible for me to listen to a song and not imagine what david's voice and personal twist could do to the song! boys like girls is one of my favorite bands and now it's like i can't even listen to them! it's nuts, and as much as i love david(like A LOT!) i kinda wish his voice wasn't in my head all the time so i could listen to other music. then again, why would i even want to?!

I'm probably showing my age here but I would totally melt if he ever did "Glycerine" by Bush. Just him alone on a stage, his guitar and a single spotlight...I'd die on the spot.

Wow, I had thought of posting that and went with "Tears from Heaven" instead. I don't think you're showing your age at all. Bush already sounds a lot like David so it's a perfect fit. They still play that quite often on both of LA's big rock stations (not the two classic rock stations, the two current rock stations-that song still charts!)

"Don't Look Back in Anger" by Oasis came up on my ipod today... and I thought THAT would be a great song for David to cover. I like the vocals on that song, but DC's would be WAY better. Just like DC's TWIK was better than Ed Rolland's of Collective Soul.

I'd like to hear him sing something from Alanis Morissette. Her songs are full of colorful vocab. I'd like to hear David rock out a song of hers.

I want to hear him duet with Andy Skib! I've been listening to all his To Have Heroes songs and his lyrics are so literate. His acoustic arrangements are so different from MWK. I say let them collaborate and come up with a great song, then do an amazing duet... each getting solo parts, and then choruses in 2-part harmony! David doing his gravelly baritone and Andy doing those sweet tenor notes. I'm not even sure I would call Andy a tenor. David is neither... his range goes from baritone to tenor to falsetto... but their voices are very different and yet I think they would complement each others, the way the Wilson sisters' voices do in Heart. Throw in some dueling guitars!
