Well, I just got home and had a blast. I have been to many concerts in my day...from Aerosmith to Michael Buble, Paul McCartney to the Clash...but nothing quite like this. young and old alike just having a great time.
I have to agree with what some others said that in a big arena some of the idols just don't seem to pull it off but some of them belong there...David C. especially. He knows how to work an audience. Flirting with many and not just those in the front. I was in the Lower Level section 4 rows back and he singled out a girl in front of me, it was a very sweet moment. He has a stage presence that just mesmerizes and he didn't disappoint. I now can't wait for a solo tour where we can get a 2 hour set because i think it will be brilliant. 6 songs just isn't enough.
But I was glad I went to this show, I had a soft spot for many on this season...Carly, Michael, Brooke and David of course. And it was nice to see all of them live. Michael really brought the house down with his Queen medley and Dream On. The guy is amazing..I still don't see how he could have been voted off so early, but that's just my opinion.
I loved the excitement and enthusiasm especially from some of the younger fans. I sat next to an Archie fan who was probably 11 and cried when he came on, she kept calling out 'David, I love you'. I relate. I've been there but I'll keep that my secret. The ladies next to me joked and asked if I was going to call out to David C. I can laugh it off, I am way too old for this but hey, it's a lot of fun.
Hope all you other So Cal fans in attendance had as much fun as I did.
