I think THAT was his best version of TOML yet. Loved when he tapped the keyboard musician on the shoulder... always acknowleding his band. He looked so happy... thrilled to be in front of 14,000 people on stage doing what he loves. There's a shot off the jumbotron where he's smiling and is just loving it. I cannot wait until Monday night at Staples!!!!

Great video job!! Let's hope that David Cook doesn't get his head too wrapped up and can't come down - that's what people worry about. All that talk about his new girlfriend - think about all of this pressure, and she knows the background scene somewhat and that's helpful. I really couldn't imagine going through this kind of emotional roller coaster mind boggling, life altering change that he is going through without somebody to work through it. Doesn't matter who she is or why, but that HE keeps himself the way we all watched him come out, so it will be interesting to watch his journey as he develops.
Let's hope that mid-west style remain true in his heart and rocks himself out and blows everybody away, but that he remain in his soul, what we ALL were amazed by him to begin with, his sweetness and graciousness. He sure is good on the eyes - what a cutie flirt!
We've had months to "get to know him" and many of us have literally studied him in our research. I can't imagine him changing. He's just freakin' decent down to the core. He doesn't even conciously try all the time... it's just inate. Like Bon Jovi, Springsteen, Bono (as mentioned by Annette), and his hero David Grohl, I think (feel it in my bones) that he will remain this way. Maybe not as accessible (for crowd control reasons alone he'll soon have to dial back the accessibility

but I think he'll always be this way).

Having a small theatre background myself it is amazing what you can learn on how to approach an audience, how to engage and communicate with them.
That kind of experience can definitely be helpful (dont think it has harmed him), but HE WAS BORN TO DO THIS!!! HE IS A NATURAL ENTERTAINER, and hopefully we can share lots of memorable times thorough his journey as a rising GLOBAL ROCK STAR, 'cause this forum is just an example of how "powerful" he already is!
I totally agree, and I've said this before. Rock, especially anthemic, stadium rock, is VERY theatrical. A musical theater background provides a solid foundation for getting on that stage and giving a mind blowing performance.
