Hey guys! I'm brand new here. Anyways, I was curious if anyone was going to the Detroit show and if anyone had ever been to Joe Louis and know where to go for meet and greet/backstage pass? I'm so excited! My friend was able to get me both! lol. I also called the venue and asked if cameras were allowed and they said absolutely not that anyone caught with a camera without a pass would be escorted out. Anyone know if this is true or if they are just trying to scare us? Also I'd love to meet up with other David Cook Detroit fans.
Nicole could tell you more than me..we're both going, but she's been there before. I'm pretty sure she's taken pics there before too, so I don't know if that camera rule is as strict as they say. A lot of venues I feel try and act tough with the camera situation, but really..they don't care.

I'll be there! That camera rule is totally not true. They ask you to open up your bag and look inside real fast and let you get by. They just say no professional lenses. As for the meet and greets, you have to win them through a radio station or have connections to get them. They don't hand them out to anybody who shows up early.

I saw Nickelback at the Joe last summer (front row, if I must add!) and I had a camera and so did about 90% of everyone else around me. So I guess it is up to you.
I have emailed 96.3 and JLA for info on any meet and greet to no avail. 96.3 just tells me to "listen and if they do anything they will announce it on the air." I am thinking of emailing Fox2 as well. Haven't hear anything from the Joe.
I will be at the show. Where are your seats? I have main loor, row 21. I would love to meet some fellow DC fans at the show. And I would LOVE to meet them. Just not sure how.

Thanks for the camera tip. That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to see if anybody had a problem in the past. I actually got lucky with the passes. My friend knows someone and she got everything taken care of as far as getting us passes and tickets.

Hey! I would love to meet up!

I'm not sure where I'm sitting/if we're sititng lol. My friend took care of everything for us (She has connection to someone on tour this year) and from the info she got I think we're going to be able to stand in front of the barricade between the first row and the stage!

I will be there!!! Can't wait. I am up in section 121 which from what I am told is a good section to be close to the stage and close enough to see without being blocked with everyone standing up in front of you. That is why I didn't want main floor seats, once everyone stands up you can't see anything...

I'll be there too!

I'm in section 122.
The last time I was at Joe Louis was in 1998, haha. So I'm glad someone else knew about the camera policy, because I was starting to get worried. I'm sure it'll be relatively easy to sneak cameras in.

I will be there! Just bought main floor tix on Ebay! YAY! Row 37! I honestly didn't care where I was as long as I was breathing the same air as him, LMFAO!
Anyone plan on going early? I know where the buses go because my brother actually played a hockey game at the Joe once. So I would like to get a group of you guys together so we can try to meet the Idols!

I really have no idea what I'm doing but all I know is that I want it to be the best night of my life.

I am so jealous to those of you going early to meet the Idols! At least I get to go the concert soooo I wont complain too much!

Reading the posts from other cities it sounds like you will get some awesome chat time and pix!!! Hopefully Detroit will show to be a respectful group of fans! On another note, when DC was in Fresno he came out wearing a Bulldogs Jersey - just wonder (being the sports nut that he is) if he might come out sporting a Red Wings Jersey since Detroit just won the Stanley Cup???? That would be kinda kool! I guess I'll find out!! Counting down the days!!

So all you Detroiters... lets meet up! Safety in numbers! Someone can make a huge sign or something on behalf of david-cook.org and bring attention to us! Hahaha! I would like to get there at 11:30ish but don't want to go down there by myself if no one is around! Let me know who for sure is going early!

I'm bumping this because I was on the Joe's website and I found info about cameras! I thought I'd share!

CAMERAS with lenses under 80MM are allowed into Joe Louis Arena on game and event days. NO video recorders or flash photography is allowed. Cameras with detachable lenses that extend over 54MM are prohibited.
So we shouldn't have any problems getting our cameras into the show!

Awesome! HOPEFULLY if I can get over my fear of driving to Detroit by myself I will be there. The more I think about going by myself in the morning the more I freak out! LOL! (Main reason why I quit school at WSU... the drive to Detroit put me in full panic mode!)

The actual Joe Louis parking is honestly the best and easiest place to park! I'm not sure how much it will be but bring a 20 just in case! It's usually anywhere from 5-10 though!

My friend and I are going to tomorrow night's show! I'm so psyched, but a little nervous about getting there. I live about an hour or hour and a half away and this is my first real road trip where I'm driving. Eek. Anyway, I hope to get there by 3- 3:30. Probably too late to see them go in, but oh well. There's always after the show!
