HOOK'D ON COOK

Hey everyone, I just got back from the Fresno Show! It was seriously so amazing! Everyone did so well. I knew David would be an amazing performer, but amazing is not a good enough word to describe it. I have so many pictures I can't post them all, but I will put some up. David wore a Fresno State baseball jersey when he first came out because Fresno State has recently won the college world series. Then the man unbuttoned the shirt and threw it into the crowd! Unfortuantley not to me ; ) He was so great to watch. He also video taped the crowd screaming with his own camera which I thought was pretty cute. I was in the 6th row from the stage so I was like 20 feet away from him! Today was a good day, I got to meet him and sit super close to the stage. I couldn't ask for more! Everyone who still gets to see the show is in for a very special treat!!! I took a couple of videos but I don't know how to post them. Here are my pictures...

The venue probably gave it to him. It is located on the Fresno State campus.

I was at the show too.... have to agree that I loved it every minute of it! and well of course David... I loved that he came out with the Bulldog jersey on (hey that is my Alma mater)... I'm sure he got it at the Bulldog shop that's at the save mart center....
I'm not sure I can add anything to the reviews that we've seen already... oh MJ did a tribute little diddy for Morrison (I think it was)...
I have so many pictures I'm just downloading now but I was in the risers so not as close as Hook's on Cook... but if there are any good ones I'll try to share will probably be Friday or the next day as it's 1 am now and I do have plans for the 4th...
I've been to my share of concerts in my day ... and like I said in a different post somewhere this was the first one I've paid for in a long, long time and it was worth every penny! I can away with this in mind... I'd go see (of course) DC when he starts touring sole, I'd also go see, MJ (he was SOOOO GOOD), Brook, DA and KLC too... as much flack as KCL took on the show I though she did great on the big stage!... the weakest performer was RM, but then it could be more I didn't really like any of the songs she did...
Oh I do have to make the comment ... I have to say that this was the biggest "age ranged" concert I've ever been to... there were the 12 y/o girls screaming and there were a bunch of sorry to offended but old people, I mean like older than my Dad and he's 67... I totally thought that it was cool that with this show and all the different types of music that me at 35, my sister at 21, kids under 10 and grandparent over 70 all seemed to enjoy the show!
After seeing this show, I'd say that next years idol have a lot to live up to... I've never been to one of the other shows but I've got to think with the talent this year... it would have to have been hard to hold up to this one...
My one complaint would be that I do wish we could have seen some of the duets that they talked might happen on LKL... when Carly and Michael did The Letter on the finale show that was great I was hoping for something but there were only the 2 group numbers... could you imagine if Carly, Michael and David did something together....but alas it didn't happen but anyways... regardless... I'd place that in the top 3 concerts I've been to... the others being Garth and Journey... and if I took just David's and imagine what it would be like to be 2 hours... that may just move to #1 over Garth...

Thanks so much! So glad you had a great time, so glad the tour is going so well, SO glad DC seems to be having a ball. That "rocker" photo of him leaning back with the smoke around him has got to be one even HE'D like -- looks like he's living his dream. YEH!

Enjoyed reading your review on the concert. Glad there is so much to look forward to! I also was glad to hear your comments about the wide age range going to the concert this year. I was told previous years it was mostly younger kids, my friend and I are going and we are not kids. Cannot wait! I have to work on getting her to be a bigger DC fan though before we get there! I watch the videos every morning after these few concerts and I cannot believe he just gets better and better!

I love that he wore the jersey. Being that he's a sports fan (especially baseball), I'm willing to bet he sought out a jersey to support the team. But regardless if it's that or someone at the school gave it to him, he looked awesome. I'd take that over a guitar pick any day! (though even the pick would be cool)

Gahh and jerseys look WONDERFUL on him. At first when you said he took it off and gave it to someone...I'm not gonna lie, I thought that meant he was shirtless.

Hey, I know what you mean, but don't let it stop you..I am 34 and went to the concert in Glendale and it was so worth it. There was a very diverse age group there. My friends are always teasing me at work because I am so obsessed with DC. I have pictures all over my office, he is on my desktop and my slideshow screensaver has him and of course my 17 year old son who went to the concert with me and also likes DC, albeit not as much as I do. He told me I am acting like a teenager with a crush...I guess I am, but I can't help it...I want more and can't wait for his solo album...I plan on buying at least 5 of them, some just to give away to people at work so I can try and get them hooked on Cook.
I just bought a bumper sticker so I can show my support for him, and I don't care what people think.
So have fun!

Hey we can be in our 30's (and up) and still appreciate great music. We've had more time to discover what we like. And this man is a fine specimen. My husband used the word 'crush' with me just yesterday when referring to the ODCD. Hmmm... Whatever it is, I don't care! The DC bumper sticker is on the car and it's staying there. ... I agree that the age range in Glendale was VERY diverse. I saw a toddler, lots of kids, and a lot of folks in their 50's, 60's and ?.
Thanks for the Fresno post and the pictures. That's one of the first ones I've seen of the all-black in the final group number. I was sitting too far to get close-ups like these....
