like, although he may not know you, he gets you through his songs?

I don't know... I was listening to Analog Heart and his Axium songs and it seems like I can relate to most that he writes. That's what makes him a brilliant songwriter...

Anyone fell the same way? What songs do you feel it with?
cookieismybaby
oh i definitely do! i feel like i know him personally. it's almost as if he wrote analog heart for me. yeah i wish!! and hold by axium gets me every time! it's weird how he captivates me like that.
PhantomlyWicked
I think the big song for Axium that gets me is 'Pecking Order.'

Whenever I feel like I am actually worth something, I get shot down. Like, I feel like I have a pretty good singing voice (not amazing, but good) and my chorus teacher told me that I was cringeable as a freshman (I'll be a junior) and now not so much, but still there.

My sister and mom and everyone gets mad at me because I am such a pessimist (of myself, everyone else it optimism)... They tell me to stop being critical of myself, but that's how I feel. I never feel like I'll be good enough for my standards.

[and... I love this forum for having deep conversations haha]

He is a brilliant writer. His lyrics are incredible, and I know I, and so many others can relate to them.

Yeah.
I just re-listened to Hold. Phew. That song is one of the best ones.

"Oh, but it's okay to breathe
your worries away
when everything and everyone try to lead you astray
Hold your own, hold your ground,
hold to life when you're down,
and always believe that there's a way back home"

Some of his songs could be wonderful pick-me-ups. His songs are so inspirational...

He's an amazing lyricist. Personally, I could relate the most to "Makeover".

He really knows how to speak to your soul through music. Most of Analog Heart is my life's story. I guess maybe that is why I love it and him so much.

It's pretty intense. I'm so glad that AI was able to introduce him to us and the world. I'm so glad he's going to bring rock back, I'm sick of always hearing PCD and stuff like that on the radio all the time!

A brilliant songwriter, David truly is. smile.gif

Out of the songs in Analog Heart, the song I can well relate to is "Silver", while Axium's "Callout" is a personal fave of mine.
