Last time I checked Rickey needs cellcasters for tonight's show. I assume the party will still go on, but its a lot more fun when the phone rings......!!!!!!!

Well, it’s too late to organize now, but since we’ve stirred ourselves into a frenzy, if you have a “Rickey Report” on any of the American Idol Summer Tour concerts that you would like to share here, just e-mail it to me and I will post it. The Archey Reporters have also been taking pictures and whatnot of the other idols and I have been posting them here so its not been entirely David Archuleta country here for the past few days. Also, the Archey Reporters have been talking about the others idols too so we are all equal opportunity here — but other fans can join in.

Send your Rickey Reports to: rickey AT rickey DOT org with your name/screenname and concert you attended. A few hours after the show or next day before the next show is preferred so we can keep things fresh. Thanks!

Also, do you what to be a cellcaster for our live blog? Around 400 people tune in every night for our American Idol live blog and we are in need of cellcasters who will help spread the cellphone battery life for the night of the concert. It’s simple: just give us a call for your assigned set (like when Jason sings Somewhere Over the Rainbow) and all 400 of us will “listen in” to the concert — it’s just like being there! Except that the Archeys are writing poems while listening, the Dreadheads are dancing and the Chatter Girls are having a glass of wine… Again, just e-mail me at rickey AT rickey DOT org with your name and cellphone info and concert you are attending so I can get back to you.

I can tell you that there are a **ton** of AI fans milling around Vegas right now. It felt like most of them spent yesterday doing the "Let's figure out where they're staying" scavenger hunt. lol.

We need a bump

Rickey said this might be a problem with getting volunteers to do a cellcert for this show with this being the July 4th weekend. There are 5 posts in that thread as of now. It only looks like as of now there are only volunteers for Archie reporters only or for shows other than this one. I think the chances of the party is kind of slim unless someone comes through at the last minute and I hope someone does.

Bumping for Rickey... C'mon people? Somebody has to have a phone there...

Geek4Vocab on the AI boards is in Vegas now, she's way up in posts over on those boards. She did not want to have to dial in and try to watch the show at the same time, but she didn't want to leave us with nothing to listen to. So chances are we can at the very least get one or two DC songs. She knows about our dilemma and has emailed Rickey in response to my AI board post. However, my post was DELETED and I am banned from A.I. AGAIN. I mean seriously, wtf???

I was not soliciting donations, spamming, bashing, cursing, etc. I don't even get it anymore and I refuse to email that mod over there because his answers are always completely irrelevant, and I care less and less every time. So I just switch to a new ID and/or give up on posting over there for a while... I hope I did not get Geek4vocab banned from those boards, because she was checking in from there.

Here is Rickey's latest post. He intially was of course asking for volunteers to do the cellcert for tonight. We still don't know if he got the volunteer to do DCs' set, but here is the latest:

It's really easy to get banned over there. Sometimes it seems all you need to do is sneeze the wrong way and that will do it. lol If you actually mentioned Rickey's forum then that is enough to get you banned. One of the rules there is not to mention other forums. I know how stupid that sounds but that is one of the explainnations that I used to get from those idiotic mods there.

Hopefully Rickey will get support tonight for DC's set, but if not; we'll check out the video files when they go up after the show.

What about that one individual who works at the hotel on the strip - that when David was on the View she got to see him during the performance and afterward. Cannot remember her recipient name. I wonder if she is going to be there.

Hopefully he will have someone come through for tonight and people lined up for LA on Monday night.

Just got home from work and really hoping Rickey finds a cellcaster for tonight!

I was on concert/Rickey withdrawl last night. Being Canadian we had all our celebrating earlier in the week.

Rickey has a live TV blog and we listen to the concert thru his speakers which is transmitted to him from a cell phone user at the actual contest.

I'm reading that back and it doesn't make sense to me at all. I just worked a 10 hour shift So if anyone else can make more sense, have at it LOL

I'm so happy they found people! I missed Thursday's broadcast, and I missed them playing Andy's music . I even finally signed up over there. I will definitely be around for the party tonight lol (I can't believe I'm actually looking forward to spending my Saturday night starring at my computer and listening to crappy feed of a concert that I've heard twice before!!! My how deep my obsession goes!)

Volunteers at the concert will call in and through the cell phone we will hear highlights of the concert. Hopefully the signal will be good and of course you have to also listen to the screaming of the audience. But Ricky keeps the crowd who is watching him and listening entertained.

haha If you click on the latest link I posted, you will see a video screen with the play button in the center of the video screen. Just click on that button and make sure you have your volume turned up enough so that you can hear him (Rickey). Fans of the idols listed here will call in during one of the sets of the 4 idols listed and we will get to hear either all or a portion of their sets.




He certainly does. Rickey has all kinds of tricks up his sleeve when it comes to entertainment. Expect the unexpected. LOL

Just curious - where is Rickey's Studio in NYC? The only reason I say that is because he mentioned at some point that he was going to the Prudential Center for the concert here in NJ.

I don't know if you guys just heard Rickey a few minutes ago, but from what he said, we will only be hearing 1 song each from MJ, Jason, Archie, and Cookie. He said he got one volunteer earlier but that individual was only going to cover just Archie's set so he was lucky to get the 2nd volunteer.

Amazing! I've read about these the past few days- so glad I can finally catch one. I'm in the "waiting room". what is that all about?

Being a newbie or not, it's really hard to follow. But just jump in whenever get the chance. Odds are most people will miss what you say anyway. But every now again Rickey will notice and it's a RIOT! It's oddly exciting and chaotic all at the same time.

Just wait till the phone rings and then you will have never seen a chat screen whiz by so fast!


Edited to add: Has anyone else been getting some poker website take over your browser lately when on this site? It's happened to me like 3 times and it keeps asking me to download some stupid software. Getting a tad annoying.
