Hi David!

Who knows, maybe you'll have some relax time in the near future and come on here to read...

My name is Barbara, and I live in Texas. Born in Deleware, raised in Maryland, moved to California, then to Arizona, and now Texas. You could say I moved all the way across the U.S. in one fell sweep, and now I'm slowly working my way back... lol.

First of all, I'm so sorry for the stress that you've endured due to your brother's illness. I haven't heard much about how he's doing, and I think that's good, because it's a very personal matter, but I do want to say that my thoughts and prayers are with him, you, and your family.

As you can see by all of the responses here, you have a LOT of fans, so I just want to let you know that I, for one, am grateful for your brother coaxing you to try out for AI this past year. Over the years, I'd glance at AI for a while, but usually not very much. I'd just hang around to find out who won for the most part. This is the first year that I've actually watched the enire season. We actually made it a family night, and had a special AI dinner we had... LOL! While I thought David Archuleta was a cutie, and very talented, it didn't take me long to realize who deserved the win. I'm sure that David A will go on to do some wonderful things also, as this was great exposure for his talents.

Your music is very versatile, and definitely has a bit of something in it for people of all ages. The fact that you play the guitar, etc., just shows how talented you are, and how much you deserved for this to happen to you. There's a lot of music out there these days, but I'm sorry, I just don't see the talent in a lot of it. People like yourself remind us of what talent is really about. You're bringing it back!

I'm an older married woman, with 2 kids... a 21 year old son who is a deptuy with the Dallas County Sherriff's office, and an 18 year old daughter who isn't quite sure where she fits in yet. So... while I absolutely adore you and your talents, don't let me scare you... I'm not a drooler! I wish for only success and happiness for you. Of course, if you're ever in the market to meet my daughter... *wink*

Music has always been a big part of my life. I play the piano, guitar, write songs, and sing. I've done some performing, but mostly local stuff... schools, funerals (yup), and the like, but I panic when I perform. I'm not good with it at all. So I know what goes into what you do. How much talent, courage, and preserverance.

Good luck always!!!

Barb
