Kara Dioguardi names David Cook (and David Archuleta) as one of the artists she's working with in the July 2008 news section of her webpage. Is she working with him as a producer, a songwriter, or backup musician?
anyone heard of her?

according to her page she is a singer, songwriter, producer and artist.

as long as David's style of music stays and he likes it , I'll be fine with that.

While that's a really great thing, because she's a very popular collaborator, she has worked with Backstreet Boys in the past, and I love them and all, but I really don't want David to make an album with songs like that on it, you know what I mean? That's NOT his style at all!

Collaborating doesn't mean she's in control of the album, or any particular track. David's gonna make an incredible record, no matter who he's working with. He's not about to turn his rock album in a Backstreet Boys one, that's not his style, and it's also not his style to let anyone take his music where he doesn't want it to go. So in my opinion, this is pretty good news. It's good to collaborate with someone who's been in the biz. And his album is going to amaze all of us, I'm sure. smile.gif Can't wait for November!!

LOL...i'm confident that this is a good thing regardless of what capacity Kara is working with DC. i'd like to learn more about how recording music works...never been this interested before. smile.gif

Kara has also worked with Kelly Clarkson and Christina Aguilera so I'm not too worried about what kind of music she'll come up with...she seems pretty versatile, in my opinion.
