SO I know that everyone is saying to get there at around 11 and wait early which I will obviously do without complaint or anything but I'm concerned because the previous so is in florida 3 days prior (the 21st)
I don't know what to do if they come here and get a hotel then it will all be different like what if they do rehearsal the day before (23rd) and then don't show up early the 24th....where do the tour buses park


If I don't meet him devastated wont even cover it I know you that it's not the end of the word but honestly it is
I was driving down the freeway today with my mom and saw the toyota center (where they will be playing) and burst out crying and just started scream 47 DAYS 47 DAYS!!!!
And then I cried worse "what if i don't get to meet him....NO NO NO"


Please help before I seriously flip the F out!

Soooooo- I really do think that there will be a possibility on the day OF the show. But, I do agree that the Idols will most likely be "out and about" before that. I've spoken to Toyota Center reps and the buses park underground. Also, they will enter and exit through an underground walkway to the venue. There is an "opening" in the walkway at Jackson and Leland where "fans" will be gathered. So- as far as I know- that will be MY plan.

I know someone who called the Toyota Center, and they told her that the buses will NOT park underground...

Hi All- just an EXTREMELY quick note to let you all know that some folks have expressed concerns over the information I shared last week about the bus parking and supposed meeting area for the Idols.

I spoke with my contact at Toyota Center again today- he reiterated EVERYTHING he told me last week. He agreed that it IS true that there is no underground parking for the PUBLIC. There is absolutely NO PUBLIC access to this underground parking he's referring to. The entrance to this "garage" off of Leeland and Jackson (google maps: 1734 Leeland St., Houston, TX) faces a field. This lot is typically rented out to accomodate stage hands, etc. for a show and this is where the performers ENTER and EXIT the underground parking and walkways they use to get to the venue. He said AGAIN that there is NO GUARANTEE that any of the performers WILL stop however, this is where they access the venue. He also said that the general public is NOT ALLOWED inside this lot- but, it has become the "hangout" for autographs, etc. before, during and AFTER shows.

I have someone attending Crue Fest next week (Tuesday) and she has agreed to "scope" out the situation at Toyota Center for us in lieu of me driving down there just yet. However, if she is unable to find anything out or her information differs to far from what I've been told I will go to Toyota Center during an upcoming show on August 2nd and find out everything I can about how the stalking takes place!!!!!

OK, I KNOW- I sent a message yesterday- but, I have to do this or I'm gonna just bust...

CURRENTLY- there is a 2.5 day break between Utah shows and ST. Louis...and DC said in an a recent interview that he's flying to LA to work on the album...I IMAGINE- everyone is getting a break and that the buses will be traveling on to St. Louis without them.

There is a 2.5 day break between Tampa and Houston tour stops.

Do you think it's LIKELY that the same scenario might play out??? Buses here- with no Idols??? Gaaaaaaaah!!! I freaked out at the prospect of this...

oh wow...excellent point made, I hope that's not the case, florida and texas are pretty far from LA so lets just hope they decide to get some R&R at the hyatt regency or something....

I guess I don't see the break you are referring to:

August 2 Atlantic City, NJ Boardwalk Hall
August 4 Long Island, NY Nassau Coliseum
August 5 Long Island, NY Nassau Coliseum
August 6 Albany, NY Times Union Center

Their next significant break is between Tampa and Houston. I think there is a strong likelihood that they will fly in to Houston. ANYWAY- nothing is too far by air. JMO though!!! I'd love it if David sooooo wanted to see his "home" town that he came to R&R here!!! <haa>

OH well, I guess we'll see!!! We're gonna have to have some good intel!!! LOL.

wow I have this calendar in my room with a big countdown and all the tour dates and I got the tour dates off wikipedia i have long island 3&4 and then albany on the 7th I guess it was wrong THANKS now i'm off to go double check my tour dates!!!

He's said many times in many interviews that he will be working on the album every chance he gets during the tour. I don't expect him to spend his R&R here in Houston, unless he finishes the album in "record" time.

They added dates in Long Island and Albany I think since the tour was first announced.

Yeah, I knew that he'd mentioned the album work- so, I don't know why it didn't dawn on me until yesterday that the 2.5 day break between Tampa and here was going to most likely yield an absence of Idols on the bus when they arrive! <ha> DUH!!!

Checking in for Houston. I sent out an update today to anyone who had signed up with me to go in on our DC gift and ACS contributions. Can't wait to meet you ALL!!!!!!

PS...I did go down to the Toyota Center this past weekend and there is indeed underground parking beneath the Toyota Tundra garage. The entrance at Leeland and Jackson is where I was told the Idols MAY (or may not) be. <ha> I think this break between Tampa and Houston will prove to be the kicker. I think we will only find out WHEN and WHERE to meet our Idols once we are there that day. smile.gif
